You can see that I put this discussion to the interest lose weight and it is because I am curious if someone of you have a wii and if it is like a real excerice and you can loose some weight with this product. My nephew have it, but he got it just for christmas and he is really into it, but i think it is still short tiem to tell if you will get bored of it or not. Someone of you have it?

the boxing is great!!! its by far the most physical game on there. i use the training sections on the boxing because it gives you a time limit and it makes you want to hurry up and knock the boxing bags off their chains, or whatever. im usually sweating like crazy by the time im done!

I think that it would be a great form of exercise if you get the right games. I have a ps2 and I have dance dance revolution. It is a fabulous form of exercise and so much fun! I have to fight my kids to use the ps2 ( ok ,it does belong to them).

A ps2 is a playstation 2 game system. It is just a different game system then an wii. We can't get wii's here! Tried before Christmas and none to be found:( The dance dance revolution is a dance mat that connects to the game system. On the tv it shows the dance steps and you have to follow them along. They have different levels and some fast and some slow songs. It is really fun.

My kids have had a Nintendo wii since last Christmas - they really have a lot of fun with it, but I'm not sure it is serious exercise - it is better than the regular video games where you just sit and play them, but not enough to seriously lose weight in my opinion.

I have had my Wii for over a year and love playing it. I still play it everyday that I can fit it in my schedule. I think it could be used for weight loss if you really need that kind of motivation to get exercise. I have the DDR game for the Wii and it is a lot of fun, especially since it adds hand movement using the nunchuck and wiimote. Plus boxing on Wii Sports can really tire you out after several rounds or playing punching the bag training a lot.
