Hello friends! I am new to Mylot. I have been posting replies and I've started a couple discussions. And I am addicted! haha This is a great place to debate, make friends, get advice, help others, and make some money. So on to my question! I would like for you to give me some hints as to how I can make money on here? What are your tricks? Should I respond to discussions or create my own? What do you think? Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance! Take er easy!

Hey =) I think 90% of those who regularly use mylot are addicted too, I know I am but that's what happens when you come across a great bunch of people. Basically I support and try to make friends, the time taken searching can make you have less time for responding especially if you have a limit on how long can post around the site. I just keep to my close friends at first, then slip into ones I often drop by and then into "new discussions" and "newbies discussions". Genereally I find it's better to do a mix of fairly long posts and some which are long than 5/6 lines. I try to set a limit to each day or at least a target, this helps me keep tabs on the amount I earn and how effective it is. I'm not really bothered about the money though :) You can post images to your discussions but I don't, it slows me down to much and I like buzzing around the place doing my thing. In all I would suggest making friends, find people you like and share interests with because without regualr people popping by then this place can become dull and it's fun supporting each other. Good discussions tend to get many responses but it doesn't really matter if you get 10 or 100 I've gotten both and although the lager ones are few and far between I can still make my target of $50. =) Goodluck, i've probably missed something off but here you go hope it helps. ~Joey

You'll probably find that most will accept the request, some don't for various reasons especially when members who are fairly new request them but if you've commented to them I don't see why they would reject it. =) ^ That's from what I've noticed, I know some of my friends reject people who use the default avatar. (because they hate removing friends once inactive) Sent a friend request, Thanks for that =) ~Joey P.s I forget to say last time welcome to mylot! =)

I have to agree here. Posting interesting images gets you money for participation. Also, if you start a discussion, you get paid by how many responses a it gets. If it becomes a top or "hot" discussion, the money will be better. I ran a post asking about earnings and I found that I am ahead (money wise) of some who have 500+ postings. I only have 2 active referrals and they don't pay much. I would like to know if they only pay on one level of referrals or if it's more. If anyone knows, Let me know.

Hi joey_matthews! I was wondering if I tried to add people as friends if that would be okay here? I wasn't sure if a lot of people would accept the friend request or not? So if you read this and want to add me as a friend please request!!! I really like helping people so I find a lot of these discussions a great way for me to reach out and help someone with a program they are having. I do write some fairly long posts...I should probably making them a little shorter. And that is great advice that I should get a target to reach each day! Never thought of that! Thanks! Your response was great! Thanks!

you can upload any image when you start a discussion, you can find it in the lower left corner of your page when making a discussion but if you reach the 500th mark you can upload images even when responding to any discussions.good luck and try to get lots of referrals too...it adds up to your earnings...

Hi johndur, thanks for the response! I do enjoy the discussions here for sure! I have started a discussion about what is your favorite movie, and i'm getting some great ideas for movies to watch! Big movie buff here. Anyhow, thanks for the tips! Responding to the discussions I start also helps me keep track of the ones i've read to and responded to. Thanks! How do you upload an image for the discussion?

You just participate as you can, there's no "secret" tip here to enhoy. As long you follow the rules, guidelines and FAQ's of this site, the rest will be easy for you. It depends upon you, either you start your discussion or respond. Just be sure that you do respond according to the subject, make them a minimum of 3 sentences atleast and provide additional informations as much as possible. You can earn here by uploading photos on discussions or even on the "interests" section, you can invite others like friends or family members and sign them under your name to be a referral. So that's all I think of right now, welcome and goodluck posting!;)

Hi, welcome to myLot. In order for you to earn money on here, you need to participate actively and contribute valuable information either by responding or creating your own discussion. You can choose between the two. Personally, I do respond a lot compared to making my own discussions. By the way, you can visit the myLot FAQ and guidelines which are located below for further details about your questions. Have a great day! :-)

It's pretty hard to determine exactly what earns the most money on MyLot. Some think that starting a thread earns more money, especially when you upload an image to go with your content. Others find it easier to respond to threads. I find I often respond to threads. I make sure my content is at least four lines and try to add some info to the thread with my posts. I think you'll find that the people are pretty cool, there's great info being shared and by participating you build your earning slowly, but surely. Welcome to MyLot!

Hey! Yup looks like I'm getting different responses according to attitude for sure! some people are more laidback and like answering questions, being helpful, others like to lead! that is SO interesting for sure!!! I am ranting and getting off topic once again! ARG! Anyhow thanks for your tips and it was very nice to meet you! Thanks for the response!

Welcome to mylot, newfette. You're getting a good start at earning money. Responses to discussions you've started helps, I think. I still don't fully understand the system here, but I enjoy seeing my earnings go up just a tad every day :) (between .05 and .20) I don't have any tricks to pass on. I just browse...responding when I have something to say, or starting a discussion when there's something on my mind.

Thank you for the welcome joyce! I don't think the earnings system is explained very well in the Mylot version of the explanation. Perhaps one of the people who run this joint will read this and do a revision so it's more clear as to how much earns how much. Or maybe that changes day to day. Anyhow! Thanks for your response!

I think sometimes it easier to respond to discussions unless of course you have something of interest to talk about, when you create a discussion you don't get your point until someone responds so I think it is better to respond mostly as you get your point straight away and then throw in your own discussion when you have something good...

Hi lilaclady, I was wondering how the starting discussion points thing worked thanks! Yeah it is easier to just respond than to create questions and discussions! haha Thanks for your response!

hello. so you are a newbie here, anyway welcome to MyLot... as much as i know starting discussion, adding images and responding to discussions will make you earn. but if you want to maximize your earnings, you should several referrals ... so far i have only 16 referrals but most of them are not active anymore so i cannot earn much from them or sometimes not at all. you should also encourage your referrals to be active in Mylot to earn much...

Hi neenasatine! thanks for the welcome! I did manage to get one referral so far so that is good! I'll keep trying I suppose! and yeah it would be important to keep in touch with those referrals and motivate them...the more money they make the more you make! plus you get to make good friends :) thanks for the response!

I think one key is to not answer briefly. At least 4 sentences seems to be key to me. For some reason a few more words seems like it earns more even if the answer is able to be answered in one. I think I'm about there, hope I was helpful. PS- welcome to my lot.

I did not realize that longer answers give higher pay out...I guess that makes sense if you're spending more time thinking and typing. my answers are quite long sometimes I get wrapped up in what I'm trying to say. Thanks for the welcome! and thanks for the response!
