Do you think Chinese easy or difficult?

I think all languages are a little difficult but i think chinese would be easier to learn to speak than to write it, that part looks very hard.

I am from Australia, oh yes I can speak chinese but only a greeting as I used to volunteer in a nursing home and I learnt how to greet people in their own languages and there was a lovely chinese man there and i used to greet him, it would always bring a smile to his face....

Althouth I'm a Chinese,I think Chinese must be the most difficult language in the world.The changes are much more than English in my opinion.

I think it must be difficult for a foreigner to learn Chinese. As I know, English only has 26 characters to be rememberd while the learner to Chinese must know 5 kinds of tone for each character before they remember the vocabulary.
