This discussion was started after I commented about playing with Buster & him jumping on me. Even after he is gone I will always have this to remind me of his playfullness and roughness. This happened a few days after my daughter gave Buster to us. I play just as rough as he does. I would stick my arm in his mouth playing around. He would not bite down hard at first. Well a few days after he was here we were rough housing it in the living room and he accidently clawed me leaving this scar on my right forearm. It bled like crazy for a couple hours but it's fine now. Do you play rough with your dog/pet? Have you ever been hurt from this playing rough? dO YOU HAVE SCARS AS PROFF? hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Haha. Oh yes!! My hands looked like they had been through a thorn hedge with my Ruby when she was a puppy. Even now she accidently catches me during play. The one scar I remember is from an old lady long gone. We were walking the three dogs we had then when the little Sheltie lady saw some delicious horse sh1t in the road and lunged to gorge on it just as a car was coming. I jumped into the road and grabbed her by the scruff of the neck to save her life and she wriggled round and sank her teeth into my hand! There's gratitude for you!! It didn't bleed much which is a bad thing and my hand swelled up for a few days. And Tiffy? Well she had forgotten all about biting me long before we had got home from the walk and lived for many happy years more. I'm looking at the scar on my hand right now with tears in my eye and a smile on my face.

Yes, I have lots of scars from playing with the animals. Mostly scratches when they want to jump up, usually when I have bare legs. My one cat enjoys jumping on my shoulder, only, I'm standing up at the time, and she makes a stop on the way up, usually somewhere in the middle of my back. My dogs jump up, and scratches ensue. No biggie, just one of the joys of pet ownership.

It is a joy to say the least. I enjoy running in the yard with Buster a lot. Mostly in the summer though. But then the doo doo is visible and it's a bit hard to run and avoid the mounds. HAHAHA. At least now I can't see them. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I didn't play rough with my yorkie when I had her. So no scars from her. She was hyper though and would jump all the way up to the door handle on the front door when someone was here. She would run around and act crazy sometimes but she wouldn't ever play rough with me maybe because she was a girl, I don't know.

My Great Danes I had were both females and they played rough. But then again as huge as they were just playing catch could be considered rough play. HAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!`

Lol... Sounds fun, I don't have a pet. we're thinking of getting jake some fish but we haven't yet discussed that further. should be going later to the pet store to have a look at what they have to offer :) Sometimes myself and jake mess around, he likes play fighting but not "nasty" he does tend to bite me but he doesn't mean to hurt. It does at times, but bless the little guy he'll come hug you until you feel better. I sometimes fake it though, just so he gives me one :P ~Joey

Domingo and I play rough all the time but he only leaves temp. welts on my arms/hands/legs. He's a mouther so always greets us by putting his mouth on our wrist but never bites down. He also doesn't like us riding the go-cart, tractor, bicycles..anything with wheels. He will grab our wrist/hand/arm and try to pull us off whatever it is we are riding. He bites down a lil but only enough to get a grip and then throws his weight back, pulling us off. Even then, no marks from him.

Abagail wakes me up at night trying to bite my toes. When I am not having a hot flash and have the blankes over me it does not hurt much but anyother time it hurts like the dickens. No I do not encourage her to do that she gets swatted for it. LOL

nope. I have never had a pet for long in my home. the nearest i can think of is when i had a couple of guinea pigs who were extras from my primary school teacher's home. and any scratch from them wouldn't quite leave a scar i guess! guess in some ways you are quite positive about buster's mark!
