Your OLDEST unresolved discussion?

I've just spent a considerable amount of time clearing up several pages of my unresolved discussions. I couldn't believe some were 5 months old already! I only have a few pages of new discussions and a few that need more responses so I think it's under control again. I thank those of you that submitted the best responses and apologize for the delay in awarding the BRS.
Have you cleaned up your unresolved discussions recently? How many unresolved discussions do you currently have? What was the biggest backlog of unresolved discussions? How old is your OLDEST unresolved discussion?

I don't really reward anyone my best response, it's something I leave and then go back to. I've found it's easier to reflect on and my oldest can vary from months back to more recent, I am trying to do it sooner though.

I currently have three unresolved discussions. 2 of the 3 are pretty recent, but one is 10 months old now! The only reason being is because I never got any responses to it, so I cannot resolve it. It's too bad Mylot doesn't have a delete button or I would have gotten rid of this discussion some time ago.
Hmm, my biggest blockage of unresolved discussions? Let me see. I don't think I've ever had one. :P LOL

I have just gone through your discussions from 9 months ago and don't see any with 0 responses. Perhaps someone on this discussion already went through and made a comment. I did comment on two of your previous discussions after reading this.

I have to ask, what constitutes an unresolved discussion? Is it that no one has responded? Or you haven't picked a best response? Do unresolved discussions bring your rating down? Does it have a negative effect on your earnings? Please explain.

An unresolved discussion is one that you haven't selected a best response for, so one with no responses would have to stay unresolved. I checked the FAQ link at the bottom of the page to see if the section on discussions would answer the rating question and couldn't find anything specific. As far as I can tell, it doesn't bring your rating down if you don't resolve your discussions. I don't know if there is any additional reward for receiving BRs, (I thought there was at one point), but as the discussion gets added to the selection of discussions in your profile, your friends are able to see which ones were your best responses and I think in the end, everyone benefits from the added exposure. ;)

Oh my God! how can I do what you did? I have soo many pages of unresolved discussion and I really dont know how to clear them. The oldest is as old as me here, meaning I have been here for the last 4 months.
Please help me clean my house.

I have been really bad about resolving discussion on here. I would have to check but I would imagine that I have unresolveds from at least 6 months ago.

I have five or fewer unresolved discussions. I made a horrible discovery sometime last year and had several pages that were unresolved. Some of them just got unresolved because of a glitch, but I did not like that experience. I commonly resolve all of mine toward the end of the month. I did not in December, because I had started too few. Good luck staying on top of them.

I try to keep my discussions up-to-date. Usually three or four weeks after starting them do I mark the best response. I have two discussions I have not marked. They are from months ago and received only one or two responses that were irrelevant (example: I can't comment, I don't watch this show:). So I have not marked them and will not mark them unless a worthy response is added. But since no one is liable to see these discussions ever again since they are buried months back, they will remain unresolved.

I try not too let my discussions go back for too long. However, I don't always like assinging a best response too early in the game either. So, I try and let them get a few months old before anything happens. However, because time gets away from me and I don't have time to be online a lot all the time, sometimes my discussions are rather old before I clear them up.

since i have only a few discussion that i have started, i do not have yet any unresolved discussions. however i have many discussions which need more responses.

yes i have some unresolved discussion but are as much as thought before checking..normally i leave them opened to a response new and i do nothing linked to that!!just wait!!normally i have discussion with 0 posts but they were very few normally other users answered to them!!
as reagards time major of these are dated when i joined the site so i learning about how it works so dated about some months ago!!

I spent the 1st part of January 1st clearing out my unresolved discussions. Took me a few hours. I wanted to read over them again. I wanted to make decent decisions about my best responses.So my oldest unresolved discussion is from Jan 1,2008.

I've been a member for a year now, still have those unresolved discussions from my very FIRST posts. It's alright for me if people don't respond to it, besides, some of them are poorly-made by me as I was still trying to figure out what this site was all about at first!LoL
So I guess my oldest posts were those I've made a year ago, I believe it does not have any effect on our participation or anything that deals here on mylot!;)
I have cleaned most of those that has to be resolved, a sort of recognition for those who spend their times responding to my discussions..
