Everyday at work our clothes/uniforms tend to get a little dirty if not, a whole lot dirty! I've learned from my mom to wear the same jeans or shirt for a second time if it's not too dirty so as to be thrifty. I have done it for so long that I just wondered right now if other people do the same too. Do you?

Yep I used to always do it.... (i do not currently work as I am a stay at home mum) When I did work I would wear my unifrom a few days in a row if it did not get dirty - saves on the washing.... hehehe there were even a few times I remember "spot cleaning" my shirt or pants if there was just one mark on it so I could get away with wearing it another day.... Why not is what I say - saves your washing and also saves the wear and tear on the clothes.

I do it by default. I think it's a rather nice habit, especially if you're indoors most of the time.

yes i think jeans are always fine for more than one wear. For shirts, because I'm in a tropical climate, i tend to get sweaty and i don't recycle the tops as much as the bottoms. in a cold climate, i think it's fine to wear the same shirts and bottoms two or three days in a row. more than a week would be too much. :)

In my line of work I need to keep a fresh look daily, I can see the practicalness in what you are saying and if you ave the same uniform then no one would be the wiser.

Definetly with jeans or pants. Not the shirts though.I wear a different shirt daily. Its funny what habits we pick up from parents. And from other people too. Now I see my daughter whose four copying the same behavior.

I don't work so my clothes don't get dirty so I will wear them again. But I don't wear them again, the next day. I leave them folded on my bench in my bedroom, and will wear them again before the week is over. After wearing them a second time I throw them into the wash pile. My hubby wears the same jeans to work about 3 days in a row because he works outside in a lumber yard and gets pretty dirty. He doesn't care if he goes to work in dirty jeans because an hour after he gets there they are dirty again, anyways. He does change his shirt everyday, though, because he perspires. He is the yard manager and over sees about 150 employees and doesn't have to do any manual work but he still does. He says he is a hands on manager and he won't ask his guys to do anything he wouldn't do, so when it is busy he helps too.

I usually change my shirt every day but will wear pants twice before I put them in the laundry. My daughter wears a school uniform. We only purchased two pairs of pants for her so she could go 3 days in the same pair of pants depending on how often I do laundry. My husband will go for days wearing the same outfit. His excuse a lot of the time is that he only has his clothes on for a little while each day he works because he wears it to work and then changes into a work uniform. Then he showers at work and wears his clothes home. But when he is off work for three days I will have to tell him that he has had the same shirt on for three days and it is time for it to go in the laundry.

I do it too, with everything except undergarnments, those should be washed after one use!! I have to go to the laundry mat to do my laundry so the less i have to go there and drag my stuff back and forth the better :) Plus i am a stay at home mom, so a lot of the time if i'm just staying at home that day, i'll just stick on some jammie pants and a shirt, you know something comfy and what do i do that i get dirty ? Not a whole lot, i shower everyday before bed so i can't be too dirty!

When I was working, I would just change the top or the blouse, and wear the same skirt. Then the next day, I would change the bottoms. I had about two or three blouses or tops, and two skirts and I could make about four or more changes so no one knew that I was wearing the same blouse or the same skirt two days in the row. I also brushed off the excess dirt. I did not have that much money to buy five outfits.

Yes, I do that too, and it depend on what time of year it is, and how dirty the work is! When it is a dirty job, I have to change everyday! When it is a clean job, I change clothes every other day! During the winter I change clothes every other day if it is a clean job! During the summer I change clothes every day, even if it is a clean job, because I sweat a lot during the summer!

Yes I have to admit I do this. I have an office job and the amount of dirt that gets on my clothes is really minimal. Wearing them for a second day really is not a big deal. I can even manage a third day, and from what I've noticed, I'm not the only one that does this where I work.

I do the same thing. But not because I get my clothes dirty. Ever since I was in high school, I already wore uniforms. My mom's really conservative when it comes to our laundry since there's a lot of us. So she would have us wear our skirts/pants twice before having it taken to the laundry. Now that I'm in college and away from my family, I tend to do the same thing. It's mostly out of habit.
