Too Good to Be True Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home. You want it, you take it." For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too untrusting of this deal. It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge for sale $50." The next day someone stole it.

Thank you for that one. I really liked it and will re-tell it. I have one for you now. In the spirit of being in the religion post, it has that theme. An atheist is taking a nature hike in the woods, when he hears loud steps , first at a distance, but then getting closer He turns to see a large bear comming his way. Nervously he begins to pick up the pace, but the bear gets closer and closer. In desperation, the man does something he thought he would never do, he begins to pray to God. He says "Please, I know that I have spent most of my life denying your existence, but in the event I may have been wrong, please help me, I'll become a good Christian if you do. Somewhat surprised he hears a voice coming from the sky. It was God and God said "I really find it difficult to believe that after all these years you would suddenly become a Christian." "Ok then", says the man, "I understand and I agree that it may be difficult for me to change. But what about the bear then? How about turning the bear into a good Christian. Maybe that will help save me". Not wanting to be completely difficult God sent down a flash of light. The bear suddenly stopped, just before reaching the man. The Bear kneeled and said "Thank you lord, for this food we are about to receive".

Hello dear friend. It is really funny of this story, especially the ending of the story. You know, in our realistic life, we can really meet with such a thing. Thanks for this interesting story, dear pastorkayte.

This is so funny yet true. Its a shame in this society that most people don't see the value in things that are free. That is why our Libraries go unused, and children sometimes don't think twice about schooling. They figure, that if there is no monetary value, there must be no value at all. This joke should make us all think to look at the value of everything closely, and just because something is free, doesn't mean it doesn't have any value.

Haha thanks for sharing, that is actually true, if someone sees 'free' they don't seem to want it as though its value gets lowered because it is being given away rather than sold. But once it is listed at a price people haggle trying to lower the price, while others will actually even go and steal the item because it has a value!
