I stand corrected

January 12, 2008 12:17pm CST
Awhile back I had been pretty inactive and some of my friends and a few other mylotters told me how much the payment system had been lowered. Well, recently I can say that I've noticed and I'm not at all bothered by this and that is why I haven't left but I do stand corrected. I don't personally care how much or even if they do award us for posting, I still greatly enjoy this place and friendship is the best for me at least. However those who said "it's less joey" well it is and I've seen the changes now since I am back to my old self so it's easier to compare. Well kudos! ~Joey

I can see why they lowered it. With having over 117000 people it sure does add up and it will add up fast. Just think most people will get $10 a month times 117000. I wonder how they do it and still be able to pay everyone.

I know what you mean. My wife can still earn a fair bit, when I'm not around she posts like 10 to 20 and earns more than myself posting 100. I don't get the system at the moment, although best responses seem to be like gold now. ~Joey

Hehe.. I once knew how it exactly worked, that made things so much easier especially when I tried to help others make the most of there time here. I find it pretty impossible to even go into words now, because it changes pretty much on a daily base. ~Joey

I have not figured out the payment system yet. I do make sure that my responses are more than 4 lines, and are as intelligent as possible, but I do find it quite hard. I do not like when people give negatives because they do not agree with you, and I find that as a result, people are afraid to post other than family or life and non offensive stuff. I wish I had enough time to see how much, but I am too busy writing. The only thing is that now that I get the $10 plus the extra money I made at the end of the month, and I see what I made already at the side, I cannot separate the over $10 from that I made last month and this month.

Picture the problem if they actually told you how it works and what's the best way of making the most out of it. (Personally I'm glad, due to the reasons some would be full of greed and then this place would go belly up) I don't know exactly how the new payment scheme works, it's fairly easy to form an idea though. It's basically down to how you go about responding, if you make a certain amount and avoid shorter lines then you can test it by trying the same routine and then swapping. It'll show you where exactly your best roaming and what it does to be more effective to you. The money is sent to your paypal or egold account. ~Joey

I know how it feels. It's all different for each other, some days I do less and end up with more than a previous day I did more but still I think to myself that this place is still what I call "home". amoung the cyber world, i wouldn't say any sites came near and not even the ones I'm trying to get going. ~Joey

I didn't know that they had reduced the payments. I have been very irregular here off late. But, that doesn't matter much. There are so many scams out there. At least they pay here. And the best part is the chance to read the wonderful posts. It really feels good to hear from so many people. I just wish I had more time to be regular.

Good point. It's a nice way of viewing things, The way you can share and connect yourself here is one of the reasons why I really spending my time here. I logon virtually everywhere I can get connection, because I love seeing what's going on and who talks about what. Thank you, ~Joey

Yep. It is lowered. Really lowered than before when members are earning even more than $5 just for pictures. It's perfectly fine for me because just like you, money isn't my reason for being here. I do understand why mylot has to lower their pay per post count. Because if they won't, I don't think they'll be able to continually pay all 100,000+ members. - Less members = High payments - More members = Lower payments :) Best of luck joey.

I recall when I joined, there was quite some buzz floating away and many claimed they earned a lot from the site. especially one who went under goldberg something, it's amusing because I spent my time making friends and forgetting the site paid and as I went on I picked up the habits of just having fun. (while others started complaining) For me I don't recall having to many complaints and payment wouldn't be one, always as thank for recieving something I might not get elsewhere. =) Thanks for posting and sharing your views, you've added a nice glow to the discussion. (also for putting up with me rambling) lol ~Joey

Yeah. I have also noticed especially new mylotters about how eager they are to earn money here when the fact is, earning money here is not as easy as they think. That's why eventually they'll quit mylot saying that they have only earned a few cents here. I guess in my view, we just have to respond with heart regardless if we are being paid for that or not. I love writing and this is really an escape for me to express just anything and maybe even to share some things from what happened throughout my day or my life. and kudos to you to joey. :)

To be honest, I did not really notice about the lesser earnings. When I first started posting on myLot, I was earning an average of $0.10 a day but now I am doing an average of about $0.35 per day and that is really great for me and that also means now I can reach payout almost every month.

Hey that's cool. I guess it's how we approach the site, I'm fairly active now and even when I'm not I don't seem to pick up less than others. It's quite interesting how yours has increased and I hope it don't lower for you. keep it up! ~Joey

When I first joined I had no trouble making minimum payout $10, now it takes me 4 to 5 months to do it. Some of it is because I am not on as much as I used to. Most of it is because the pay system has gone way down. It really doesn't matter to me, I would still be coming to mylot even if they stopped paying us.

I don't find it that hard just yet, I think that's because of how wide I spead myself though. =) I'm glad to hear that vicki, I know the payment system isn't everything and I just hope that many others see it in the same light as you. If this place lost many more users this way, i could picture it becoming worse. ~Joey

I honestly have no idea why they lowered it, I find it strange but obviously they have their reasons. I still enjoy Mylot but I know alot of people are disappointed. I am glad to see alot less spamming on discussions like I saw before replies like 'I agree' , 'I dont agree' or 'Check out :'. There are alot more interesting and well written discussions so I'm not really complaining.

I have noticed the changes also. I do like the earnings, whatever they may be, because I have to earn from home to help my family out. I'm not sure if I would set time aside to come to Mylot if they dodn't pay because I would have to spend my time some place else online to get some earnings. I am sure you understand that. I like spending time here regardless but I have to earn online also while I am at it.

I agree with you. There is a big difference - less - in payment compared to when I started here, but it's still a place that I enjoy coming to and the extra money is a bonus no matter how much ;)

I have notice the payment isn't quite what it use to be, but that doesn't bother me. I'm not here for the money. There is a lot more to mylot than the pay. When I joined, I was surprised that mylot payed at all. So to me, the money is the icing on the cake. lol

im fairly new here so i guess i wasnt around before when it was higher, so i guess i dont see any loss or change but im not here for the cash either.. i can garuntee i'd make more money being a bum on the streets.. i just like to rant and ask people stuff.. get the 'worlds' response.. at least 100000 of the people on earth get a chance to respond :) i like to see how people answer questions going through my head

I recall saying in another discussion of mine that "walking around outside" would allow us to pick up more money, but that wasn't a put down. The systems kind and the owners know how to keep a decent amount of people happy, so fair game to them for doing it. (myspace makes billions and they're just out for themselves) Although, you're response is how it should be buddy. I don't see why people have to view the site as "an income" but more of a place to share banter, regardless if people choose to keep it friendly. 90% of those I come across, like you I enjoy and it is great to hear from whatever amount decide to take an interest. ~Joey Thanks canuck =)

That's not bad buddy. My highest was nearly $4 but that was awhile back during a weekend, I haven't come close to that and now even when I post over 100 it's mainly just over or near to $1 but hey it's cool. I do enjoy wathcing how I earn as I post because it's quite interesting, that sounds pretty sad but I'm glad I don't see it like a greed thing. Still the payment is apart of the site, while discussions and friends are a large part. least for me =) Cheers! ~Joey
