Please tell me someone else has been up late some night and seen the infomercial for this. It was developed by Billy Blanks Jr. (Billy Banks who created Tao Bo (sp.?) son). Anyway, it's people exercising to old and new music, only they sing along with the songs while they are doing very quick aerobic workouts, the motions fitting the 'mood' of the song. I swear, when they do movements to 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield, they look like they are doing I Dream of Jeannie. It's supposed to be a mix of cardio and karaoke, if I haven't made that clear. LOL I woke up last week, the night after seeing it, and I thought I had dreamt it until my mom told me she saw the same thing. I knew then I wasn't the only one on this earth who was crazy! : ) I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't even want to try to talk while doing aerobics. So have any of you see this? Do you like the idea or do you find it cheesy as well? What are some of the dumbest infomercials you have ever seen? You know, those commericals late at night, advertising products not sold in stores...

Hi Ambie, i haven't seen that, but cannot imagine such a stuff. i mean when i workout i have lot to do to breat and not to sink. But actually Bill Blank tae bo is great thing, but this sound like total bull***. Anyway i am seeing a lot of comercials on tv and me and my husband are always wondering who will buy such a thing. It is all about business and i guess there are some people who will buy it.

Laurika, The funny thing is, you don't have to buy stuff like that to lose weight. Walking, eating right, that works fine. There are a dozen cheaper and better ways to get in shape. However, I've see your picture, and you are in PERFECT shape!

maybe I should try it, but will loose those five size too, but then it will be nothing from me, since my size is 3. But now i learn maybe it is worst to try some product even if they look like a ridiculous thing. thanks for commenting my response.

Yes Laurika, people will buy it. I commented earlier that I have taken the Cardioke class for over a year and lost a lot of weight and dropped 5 dress sizes ver a year. The workout is great and fun. Itis quite infectious and I am not doing a commercial here, this is just a comment to all the negative one on thes board about a workout that not one of you has tried. I have tried a lot of videos and this one far surpasses the rest. By the way, this is not Billy Blanks Tae Bo instructor, this is his son.

Wow, nope I never heard of it but I do know Billy Blanks. I have two of his videos...don't ask if they work LoL!! But I think it would be interesting to do that!! I love listening to music and there have been many times that I will start singing with it while I work out. If you think about it, you also use your abs to sing, just imagine how much that would not only improve your ability to strengthen your abs, but you would be strengthening your lungs as well!! Pretty cool concept I think. I honestly think all infomercials are lame. Every once in a while you actually see one for a product that is worth buying, like the Cardioke you are talking about!!

I would have to get in shape to be able to do the tape. I don't think I could breathe, work out, and sing at the same time.

I saw this late one night while awake talking to my girlfriend. I thought it was rather strange myself, but really anymore, anything you see on tv late at night seems to be rather strange. I mean, I'm sure the cardioke may help, I mean a lot of performers dance and sing which does help strengthen their muscles and what not, but to me it just seems like another fad that will take off and then eventually fade away.

I wonder if this will even make fad status?

I do not watch television anymore, but I have seen many infomercials in the past. I just like to watch them, I was never tempted to buy anything. I am a creator not a performer. I can create good ideas, but trying to get someone else's idea to work for me is very challenging. A lot of those things don't look like they would work at all. It is like they demonstrate on the only one of the products that work, but for them to sell you one that actually works, they would have to charge you a lot more money. As for exercising while talking, wouldn't that make you bite your tongue?

I think the reason most infomercials are on at night, it because they know only sleep deprived people would buy that stuff, lol.

My first thought on seeing the title of this discussion was- you spelled it wrong, that should be karaoke. No, I have not seen this infomercial. It sounds like a gimmick to try to make working out more fun. But it seems counterproductive. When you are working out, your muscles need more oxygen, that's why you breath heavy. So singing would take up more of that oxygen making the workout less effective, and making you get tired faster. I wouldn't do it. I work out with music that I enjoy, and sometimes, just out of habit I start to sing along. I stop quickly, though, when I realize I don't have the oxygen to spare. No, the more I think about it, the more I think that it is just not a good idea.

You explained that well. I just know how out of breath I am if I try to run and talk, so anything else wouldn't work for me either. I can't believe anyone thought of that. But I bet you aren't the only one who thought I spelled it wrong. : )

to be honest, i couldnt understand what do u mean when i frist read the title, so i read it for the next time . i guess someone sing along with a songs while they do cardio workout . that means you will need more oxygen if do this . when you sing with some quick music , the motion fitting the mood,, you will run fast, it is no possible to sing song .maybe out of breath. can i guess right ?

I seldom watch infocomercials and the ones I do are fairly intelligent. If the commercial is stupid, I change the channel or my husband does. Most of them come on when I am getting ready for bed and I am too tired to pay attention to them.

Frankly, I was in awe of the stupidity. At first because I thought it was a joke and some kind of comedy show was going to break in. Then I finally realized it was a real infomercial.

Carioke? I've seen to many, they always repeated here and you know what's going to follow after. doesn't matter which channel goes into transmission, they'll put the same one's on. "the rug doctor" is one, geez I love the slogan and voice over.. "Classic CD collection" .. "The magic painter"... Oh man I'm not gong to name anymore, it's worser than a zombie bite! ~Joey Hehe.. I love zombies =)

In cardioke, they send videos of people doing the exercises that also have the music. Heck, anyone can do that on their own.

I always remember from the Fire Sign Theater the line "If you ask for this in a store they'd think you were CRAAAZZZYYY."
