Dozens in Texas town report seeing UFO

Do you believe in UFO? Have you seen one? Dozens of people in a small Texas town claimed that they actually saw one.
"Several dozen people — including a pilot, county constable and business owners — insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it."
However, how can this be proven? The authorities, as usual, would do their best to come out with logical explanation to this.
"While federal officials insist there's a logical explanation, locals swear that it was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane. People in several towns who reported seeing it over several weeks have offered similar descriptions of the object.

I have no idea what they say, but I think they saw something everyone is having a hard time explaining... I personally don't think we're the only ones around. And if another life form has made it to us, they sure must think we're pretty primitive because we can't get anywhere else...

I believe there are UFOs, not sure they are not from this planet though. In another article a Major from the Air Forces does explain what could have been seen:
"...the object may have been an illusion caused by two commercial airplanes. Lights from the aircraft would seem unusually bright and may appear orange from the setting sun." (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,322688,00.html)
However he also states in another section that there were no planes from his base in the air at the time.
The military is running all kinds of experiments that we don't know about. I would not be surprised if this was one of their planes.
Anyone else find it weird that this is just hitting the media and it happened Jan 8th??
