love or money

would you marry someone strictly for money or do you need love?

There has to be love. I do not think I would be happy even if I could afford everything but I am not with the someone I have in my heart. That will just make me feel more sad and depressed. Besides, that won't even be fair to the person you are marrying, if you marry him just because of his wealth. However, we could try to learn to love someone. If it still does not happen, forget about marriage. :)

No. I would not. I have been divorced for over 20 years and I dated allot, went with a guy for 14 years, thought it was love but wasn't. As I grow older, security sounds very nice, but I could not do it without love. It doesn't have to be knock down got you by the heart love, but the kind of love that is mixed with mutual respect and honor. I know all those things are important to make a relationship work.

dont you think love is better? money cannot buy you everything (sure its nice to have,) but it cant buy you your health and i sure want someone who cares for me around when i am sick (like now, i am waiting for an operation for my knees!)

there has to be love there. I wouldn't be able to marry just for the money i have to love them and be willing to spend the rest of my life with them.
