trend or fad?

Star Wars was and is iconic in the movie industrie, the way George Lucas depicted this movie and the way he went back in time, just fenominal seldom seen before!!!!!!!!!

It's simply one of those films that will never be forgotten, a perfect trilogy (i like to ignore the new ones - they're good in their own right, just not in the original trilogy sense). So it's definetely not a fad! I think it's a trend in a way, as it has set the mark for lots of other sci-fi and even trilogies in general. I dont think many people in the world have never heard of star wars!!

I honestly don't think it's either. I think that it's longevity, since the original came out in theatres over 30 years ago and has been re-released so many times and parodied and re-enacted by so many different medias, shows that it's going to be around for the long haul. I don't think it's a fad because it's lasted, and it's not just a trend because a lot of different people from different backgrounds have been affected by the stories.
