I am sooo not into the reality shows. The first season Survivor was on I watched about 10 minutes of it and knew that just wasn't for me. I've never been interested in them since. EXCEPT for The Biggest Loser. For some reason - although I never watched it - that one had the MOST appeal for me. I'm not that overweight - 40 lbs - bit it's something I can definitely identify with. And it always sounded like they were helping each other not fighting. Well, tonight I caught the tail end of the show and I tell ya, I wish I would have seen the ones earlier so I could know what the deal was with everyone. I might start watching it, it's VERY interesting. AND it's actually helping people! I must say, I was very impressed. Do you have a reality show that you think is better than the others???

I'm not into reality shows either and I think the reason is that if you miss one night you miss the whole thing and I can't commit to something like a tv program. I did watch the first season of The Biggest Loser and think it was and is the best of all the reality shows.

I don't really have time to get hooked on this, but if I remember about it, then I might catch it every now and then.

The biggest Loser is so Different from the rest of them that it takes me a second to remember that it is a realty show competition. It is way different from the rest. However when it gets closer to the end, they become a little more competitive. Also I heard they let go of the first host to get a skinny host which I thought was the wrong message. It isn't about being super skinny (New host thought she was fat when she was a size 12 so she can relate to their struggle) HA! But about how you feel about yourself. Good show, just hope it doesn't go down the toilet with too much changes.

Actually, Allison Sweeney (I think that's her name) was getting pretty large for a while. I've watched her "grow up" on Days of Our Lives and she's always had to struggle with the weight. Her character on Days was bulemic for a while as a teenager - she did very well with that role. I don't care for her "acting" ability (or lack there of) in the Biggest Loser format though... I thought she'd be more personable.

The Biggest Loser was such an inspiration to me when I first saw it, then they moved it to Wednesday, and I could not watch it. Now it is back to Tuesdays but I work. I do not do reality shows that are competition. I like the ones that have home decorating as a theme.

I wasn't into the idea behind all the survivor shows, it's just so cut throat with the competition. That's not entertaining for me.

I love a good reality show and I have many that I can say I am hooked on. They each have their own appeal to me. As for the Biggest Loser, I have seen every season. That is a really good show. This season is the first one to have couples like this. Like you say, this show helps people. I am not over weight either but I did gain 8 lbs after I quit smoking over a year ago and if I would eat right I could lose it real quick. I like to watch the show because I admire the ones who really put forth the effert to improve their health and stick with it. Complete transformation for most of them.

From what I saw it looked like they were into supporting each other, and at the same time wanting the support of others. It just looked really neat!
