Recently my husband lost his wallet that has everything in it. And being in the military his id has his ssn on it. So I want to enrol us in a really good credit monitoring program so that way the person who took everything can hurt us. So if you are a user of any of the programs what do you guys recomend which company ect. Thanks for all your help.

Awww that's ashame and such a hassel to get it all straightened out. If your husband had credit cards, you can contact each company directly and first of all cancel the accounts. I know Discover Card offers a service that a consumer can buy to protect their account. Am sure the other card companies offer the same kind of protection. Hope you get it all worked out eventually without any financial damage.

We caught it in time that the person who stole it couldn't do jack with the information that he/she acquired. Luckily it only was like four dollars for checking an atm or something insignificant as that. But this is the second time this has happened to us. The first time we didn't even lose our cards. I don't know how that happened. It's just so sad that people are so mean and hurtful for absolutely no reason what so ever. But back to your comment. LOL Discover Card is the one credit card company we don't belong to. Lol But we did call them all up and stopped everything.

So glad to hear you didn't lose much. I know, the nerve of some people. I had to cancel our credit cards twice over the years and change checking accounts also. Can't ever be too safe.
