Ok, so I have spent alot of time at both www.litterrobot.com as well as wwww.petsmart.com the last couple of days and got all the ins and outs of the automated litterboxes. Woooo the prices are outrageous and not sure if I wanna pay that much for a litter box for an almost 13 yr old cat. I think I will probably go for Petsmarts Litter Maid. It is an automatic rake deal that keeps the litter clean and goes into action 10 minutes after the cat leaves it. Hoping it will cut sown on the annoying odour that she has developed recently and the fact that we were cleaning the boc much more than normal. This all seems to have happened after a move to a new house and a terrible and totally unexpected case of fleas. Anyways the Litter Maid is around $100.00...Litter robot is advertised for #369.00 way to much for a stinkin' litter box, IMO. So, anyone else have any experiences with any of the automated ones? I'd love to hear from you!

I was looking at few and I made my mind not to buy one. I clean my cat's litter box twice a day and it is always clean. I think automated box is taking too much space. I am going to teach my cat to use toilet instead...

As far as I know they do come with warranties, I would think they would have to for that kind of money. Not sure about the one at www.petsmart.com Hubby and I are headed over to cur local petsmart to chaeck them out probably today...

I don't have one, as I too was leary of paying the high price, and our litter box is in the basement and it's cleaned daily so we don't have an odor problem, I do have a few friends with them and they absolutely LOVE them. They think they are the greatest thing ever invented. One did say that with her two cats, one went in after another and the rake came on when it was in the box, kind of scared him, but he did go back to using it though. If you can afford it, go for it, they sound like a great invention to me. I'll buy one when I have the extra money, but for now, I'll just keep using the pooper scooper.

I'veonly seen them on tv. If they actually work as well as they say, I'd be happy to spend the extra money. That is if I had a cat. LOL!

whoah, I wasn't even aware that those existed! no experience myself, but I'd probably go with the cheaper one. Do they come with any kind of warranty?
