Have you gotten so sick from some type of food that you can't even look at it?

Many years ago I got sick from Sweet and Sour Pork at a Chinese restaurtant. It's just been in the last few years that I can even look at Chinese food. For years after everytime I saw chow Mein or stir fry I would get sick. Has this happened to you?

Yes, definitely, although one makes me so sick to think about I don't even want to type about it. There is another one though. Somehow whoever was in charge of me at a carnival let me eat a lot of cotton candy. I was six and didn't seem to know to set some limits for myself. I hate and loathe cotton candy now. Never will I eat it, and frankly I avoid talking about it as well, LOL. : )

Yeah for me it's boiled potatoes! My ex used to dish them up on nearly every meal we had! There was never any variety it was always boiled potatoes! I go so sick of them that I actually deliberately left them on the plate, but he would still dish them up, in actual fact it has affected me so badly that I won't eat potatoes full stop! The sight of a boiled potato makes me go cold now!

I got sick on crab meat dip many years ago. I still won't eat it. We were at a party and the crab meat was good so I ate and ate. One problem, it wasn't on ice and it sat out all evening at room temperature. Talked to several people, approximately 15 people or more, who were also sick after that party. What's odd though is I love crab rangoon. Every once in awhile I'll eat it when we are eating at a Chinese restaurant but don't make it a steady diet. Am still a bit leary after that incident many years ago because I was sick for about two solid days.

I remember when I was younger, my family attended a party at a relative's house. I ate asian noodles there that I later threw up in the car on our ride home. It took me years before I was able to eat the dish again. It got stucked pretty bad in my mind that it left a memory of the taste in my mouth. Ewww. But I'm glad I got over it. =)

Oh yes I do! Many, many years ago I had some home-made Minestrone soup and really pigged out on it. So happens I was coming down with the flu, the real flu and didn't know it. Not the flu that you get for a day or two. I think it was called the Asian Flu back then and I had it for two weeks and was sick, sick, sick. All I remember was throwing up that disgusting soup, haha, for like "Forever".....blaahhhccckkkk......it was horrible, and till this day I can't look at that stuff without remembering....aaahhhgghhgh, haha.

Hil jillhill, curry noodles had been my favorite food since I was in middle school. As times went I slowly discovered that unknowingly I tended to dislike my former favorite food. Presently curry noodles is not attractive anymore and I feel to have no appetite at all whenever I see it at the food court.

Ages ago my Mom bought some chicken Spam and as soon as she opened the can the very smell caused me to be violently ill. I had to leave the house and stay outside till the place aired out. Just seeing the can in the store makes my stomach roll. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I was horribly sick - not from the food being bad but from an acute pancreatitis attack and threw up white rice.... the texture was so horrible that it took a year I reckon before I could even imagine myself eating rice again.

That only happened to me while being pregnant. I did however, get sick over a drink I had (well actually I had two strong ones) called Long Island Iced Tea. I became so sick and messsed up over those two drinks. After going through that terrible ordeal, I couldn't stand the smell because the smell alone would turn my stomach upside down.

A very long time ago. I got sick from eating Cheetos. I have never had a Cheeto since. They are just not appetizing to me since that day. I used to like them a lot too.
