Undoubtedly Home made food is delicious, tasty and hygienically prepared to a high standard although less dishes prepared. When you take restaurant unaccountable dishes prepared but to eat all dishes would not be tasty. Specially taking non vegetarian at restaurant is dangerous because sometime it can upset our stomach. However many restaurants assure people these days that food supplied by them is of good quality and taste but still there are lots of restaurants, hotels supplying unhygienic food. Some people regularly depend on restaurant food items which make their health condition unstable. To my opinion eating food once in a while or in weekend is fine.

I used to feel like you and not trust the food I was eating in a restaurant. I used to check through every thing on my plate before I ate it. That's why I never went to eat in a restaurant very often. UNTIL I met the owners of a restaurant. I owned a cleaning company in Calgary when I lived there last year, and I had a few restaurants for clients. I found out, from cleaning their kitchesn, that they only use the highest quality food. And they keep their kitchens and utensils very clean. They have to or they wouldn't be in business for very long, the health department would shut them down pretty quick. I cleaned three different restaurants and they were all very fussy about these two items, quality of their food and cleansiness. So now I don't wonder anymore about the food or look through my food before I eat it anymore. I know that restaurant owners know what they have to do to stay in business.

I am very wary of eating outside. The very clean looking sophisticated restaurants can harbor the most careless chef with a bad attitude towards the cleanliness.

I agree with you that homemade foods are delicious ,tasty and healthy. and some time I looking for restaurant foods to be more tasty and find in the town but it is very expensive compare to homemade. It is true although restaurants tell that they serve high quality food but if you everyday eat at the restaurant will make unhealthy cause of the high colestrol.

One benefit of eating at home is you can food labels and see how much fat, carbs, sodium or whats ever important to you. Meals can be prepared exactly as you like them to be. Its cheaper than outing out. One plus for eating out is except for a cafeteria, you get people to serve you. Plus if you eat with someone its the social part too. You may eat something that would be too difficult to prepare at home too.

Hi dear how are u i do agree with u that home made food is hygenically prepared and no doubt deleciois, but food at hotels is tasty as they use lot of spices and they are veery well dressed and good chains like KFC,McDonald,Pizaa hut, Subways etc maintain their standards so that they remain in the market and like wise good and reputable hotels take care of their kitchens and food items they use but sure i am in favour of eating home, eating once in a while is ok for entertainment Take care

Have you noticed in metropolis, it has become a convenient and fashion to eat out. Even the morning break-fast is packed and brought home for people to eat. For the upper middle class and above, it is laziness due to sufficient substantial earnings, they can afford to spend on buying foods at restaurants and week-ends visit the top restaurnts for dinner. Where as tbe labour class do not have facilities to cook the food while on work (some times) and they do eat at roadside restuarnts or food brought in by maruthi vans. Though every one knows it is not hygienic, still prefer the food because they think they are saving time and money. Unfortunately, the TV has also impact on this. Instead of housewife preparing the food and the man of the house helping her like in olden days, now everyone gets glued to tv and no time for domestic cooking. Someone in the house will go and bring the food. This is also contributing to obesity because they do not concentrate on what they are eating, while watching tv they tend to eat more than they noramally eat. As suggested by you, I feel once a while (once a month) it is appropriate to eat out just for a change. It is now reverse, Once a while they cook.

Food prepared at home is usually the safest as far as health is concerned. However, it is also nice to eat in a good and clean restaurant, at least once in a while. Where I live the city has passed a by-law whereby restaurants are inspected on a regular basis unannounced by a health inspector. He or she checks the kitchen to make sure there are no insects or mice, checks to see that raw and cooked foods are prepared at different stations, checks the temperature in the refrigerators to make sure they are at a correct setting, checks the garbage cans to make sure they have proper lids so animals cannot get into them. Check to make sure there are washrooms, soap and towels for the staff to wash their hands. Then the inspector issues a certificate which must be displayed in the restaurant window. It has check marks ticked off. Green, it passed, yellow some violations have been found, red it is unsafe and must be closed until the defects have been rectified.

We have home-cooked food most of the time and go to a restaurant once in a while. But before I was married, I usually had food from restaurants and fortunately I've never been ill. We now prefer a home cooked meal because my husband insists on a balanced meal for our son and we can't get that at a restaurant. I know friends who regularly ate out because both the husband and wife worked and didn't have time for cooking. Their daughter kept falling ill often and now they have decided to get a person to come home and cook for them.

I used to love to eat food from a restaurant because it tasted so good. Most of it is downright nasty any more and I am afraid to eat it and don't even crave it much any more. It is alot cheaper for us to cook at home now anyway since we live so far from a restaurant.
