I just got a new camera and am reading anything I can get my hands on. The Digital Photography for dummies has been teh most helpful and actually the little books that came with the camera. Did you find any photography book really insightful?

I got a new DSLR camera for Christmas, and I did find a book you might be interested in, Mastering your digital SLR by Chris Weston. It has some good tips in it. I was in photography for years with a 35mm camera, developing my own film and prints, it's great now with the printer and editing programs, makes it so much easier, and no chemicals to keep around! lol What kind of camera did you get?

I bought a Canon Rebel XT. I would have loved to go for the XTi but thnk maybe in another few years if I can get some decent paying shoots I can upgrade a step bigger than that. Understanding Exposure is a pretty good one but you have to know what you are doing before you ead it. It is a lot about exposure, shutter speed and aperture. I will check that book out that you said. I went from 35mm to SLR film to regular digital, step up digital to DSLR and LOVING IT! What kind of camer do you have?

My s/o gave me a nikon D40 with lenses for Christmas, and the pics it takes is just unbelievable, of course I have been in photography for years, and have always had the knack to look at things in a different perspective.

I haven't found any instructional photography books that I really like yet. I like to look at collections of other people's photographs for ideas though. One photography book that I have that I just love is of David LaChappelle, I don't think I could take pictures like his, but it's nice to think I could.
