First of all sorry if you are handicapped in one way or another. But, I have this friend that comes over on the weekend. Yes, I am bi too! I don't know but repeating myself I understand shes deaf in one ear and born that way but..Why does it get on my nerves repeating myself? Then when I am on my pc and she walks up reading over my shoulder,of course I hate that when any1 does it..Oh then when shes talking to me she wants me to look at her..But, I don't understand this she reads lips I can hear her..Like I said tho not trying to offend any1 just confused..Love having her for a friend and all but not sure how to take it all in! Ya know what I mean!

Being in the same situation as your friend, I like to see peoples face when they talk, I can often interpret their reaction better by looking at them when I speak then by listening to what they say. And often times the people who is not looking at me when I talk will often start talking without looking at me.. If you think it gets on your nerves repeating yourself, try putting yourself in your friends place - it is harder to locate things by sound, you often miss key parts of conversation without realizing it. People think that if you bought a hearing aid that everything is fine, trust me it was the largest amount of money I ever wasted on something. You deal with it on weekends, your friend does all of the time. And don't discount not being able to hear the tv or an alarm clock or many things that you take for granted.

Hmm thanks I wasn't looking at it in that light..I just have one question for you do you seem to talk alot more than the average person? I hardly ever talk but she seems to want to talk all the time..She seems real excitable. Lives with just her son whose 11 and has no car. Lol but sometimes I wonder if shes gonna stop to take a breath!..lol Really not making fun I also have an 15 month old thats constantly got me running around to..

The amount of talking one does is not related at all to her hearing, that is just the type of person she is, she is probably a high energy person, likes to do a lot of things or drinks a lot of coffee.
