Yesterday I saw this magnificent piece of maturity and understanding. Such a touching, emotional, expressive and meaningful movie. Wonderful music and beautiful lyrics. Silent dedication towards mother and an effort to understand educational problems of each child individually which is usually ignored by parents and teachers. Only Aamir Khan can do this and he has proved it again. Please give your comments to admire this beautiful movie.

I have also read its reviews and heard that the movie is a master-piece. Everyone has appreciated the movie and it has been made entertainment tax free here in Delhi. Somehow I could not see it due to one reason or another. As you have written that it deserves to be awarded an Oscar award, I will definitely see it in the near future. I feel that Amir Khan is a very mature actor and director and whatever he does, he does it perfectly and skillyfully. :):):):)

I watched it over the New Year and it's a great movie. The story is different though it is actually happening and it has been handled very simply..no frills. It's an excellant movie for educators, parents and anyone involved with kids regularly. My 7 year old son has watched it 3 times in 3 weeks and I don't mind either. It's a great movie.

lol...I won't stop you...I'll join you. This had been a topic close to my heart for a very long time and no one listened to me when I would talk about it. And that is one of the main reasons that I became a teacher...just to show what I was talking about. Now, it takes an Aamir Khan to come along and show the world. I'm glad that someone who can hold the people's attention did that before I cried myself hoarse..lol I've got so many favourite scenes in the movie...did you notice the look on the parent's face when the older son lost the tennis match...and he's good in everything too...that's how most parents react. They prefer not to focus on the 10 good things that a child does and instead focus on the one thing that went wrong.

Apsara...achchi pyaari...you have to ask the kids. I handle kindergarten and I feel that this is the age when they are like sponges. And yes, I do have lots of fun with them in the class. Fortunately, I do not go to a school where the kids sit on benches at one side of the room and the teacher stands at the other end. My son goes to the same school and he loves his school. And I have to say that the freedom and love that he got from his teachers in kindergarten has made him a confident and smart boy...what they actually do is put the love of learning and the child then does it on his own. I could go on and on....like I said...this was a topic that was close to my heart and Aamir Khan bought it out beautifully..such a sensitive movie. Mithra...der mat kar...watch the movie...then you will understand what all the fuss is about. I've never been a movie buff....even when my parents are. They would watch all the movies and I was always selective. But this one...I would say is the best I have watched in recent years. Close behind would be a book I read last year - called 'Toto Chan'.

Hi dear SViswan, You see your 7 year old son has also proved that this movie is rare piece of art. Indeed it is a movie which we will feel like watching again and again, and the more you watch it the more you like it. It really teaches a lesson to parents and to teachers who are so rude with some children as they are not their own children....without caring how a dejected child feels deep inside......I liked the part where aamir asks the father to read Chinese.....lol....wonderful explanation just in few words.....once again excellent. I can go on writing and writing on this subject so stop me.....lol

Dearest Apsara, It's just time that you posted this otherwise I would have grabbed the opportunity to have started a discussion regarding the best film in recent times. Anyway, I am glad that you started this. I saw the film the week it was released and watched it second time last weekend. The mesmerising effect that it had left on me is sure to last life long. It comes in timely when the actor turned director was debated in open circle regarding his personal life. He was defamed and demeaned. Although I have least interest in anyone's personal life, this film is sure to speak for those harsh words. The level of thoughtfulness, study, sincerity and love of the little ones is surely unmatchable. Can you beat it! Regards for this man gets manifold on realising that he never went for star cast and an ordinary hindi movie packed with romance, songs and betrayal. This speaks a lot about Amir Khan. Obviously, he was not after money! I have always liked Aamir khan for the path breaking films he has always opted for acting in and now with his directorial debut I cannot but revere him. K U DO S to the great human.

Dearest Mimpi, How are you dear. I had a feeling that first reply will come from you, as I know what I feel deep inside me is very much similar to what you feel inside you....no wonder we are sisters...:)) Yeah I do agree that Aamir Khan is blessed by God to give us wonderful pieces of Art which deeply touch our hearts. I was deeply touched when Aamir explains to Ishan's father about what is taking care and also when Aamir visits Ishaan's house and explores his room.....I felt I was choking with emotions and then I had to burst out crying. Also the song about Maa is so emotional and so true........I too saw it twice and I am surely going to see it again and again. so like you I would also say hats off to Aamir the great.

same with me mimpi, Infact I thought that aditaya made this song himself for his mother, and did not had slightest idea that the beautiful song was from this moive...I printed out the lyrics of all songs as they are beautiful, the comparison of children to nature is done so beatuifully in the song...taare zamin par.....with such peace giving melody.....we really cannot control our emotions and have to cryout..this proves that we are still humans and not roborts or stones......lol..

Yes apsara...Taare zameen par is one among the best movies i have ever watched. It was very emotional and was very touching. You wont believe and will tell that i am just lying..but seriously, after the movie when i came out of the theater,of course with wet eyes,I saw a mother and a boy,may be same age of Ishan Awasti, walking hugging each other..and they were crying..the crowd was very shocked to see that and that i think shows the capability of Aamir.. when the movie was over i didn't knew what to do,i started clapping with others...It was a great feeling and it lasted for sometime..and i remember the last time i had the same feeling...when i saw Rang de basanthi..the whole theatre was silent after the movie..seriously there was a pin drop silence..and i remember such kind of feeling after movies Dil chahtha hai and lagaan... and all are Aamir's movies...he is a gem... and TZP is a great movie showing the feelings of a son,a mother,a father,a brother and a teacher...I waould defenetly rate it along with RDB,which had the best music ever too...

Thanks for your wonderful support.

I have seen this movie in India .It is indeed a good movie.but it is not a 'classical' one-from the point of view of cinematographical ideas. Such efforts on psychoplogical problems of little children also have come earlier. In English such movies are in large number. So to say, some shots and conversations in that film are unnecessery and some others are missing. But it is really worth encouraging and it is educating

In this moive cinematogrphy is not important. The full importance is given to basic problem of understanding between child , parents and teachers........Please don't compare English moives with our Hindi movies as it differs in emotions and understanding.

When it comes to the art of making movies, only theme can not make a film great. Theme, camera work, use of sound and space, actions, how each frame is composed, etc, every aspect of a movie is to be tasken into account, to call a movie-'excellent' 'world's best' etc.TZP is definetely a very good movie, but it fails to get oscar, if it enters.

Yes. You are right. 'Taare Zameen Par' is an excellent movie made after really understanding such kids. It should really get an Oscar because it opens our eyes in such cases. It also helped me understand the problems of such children. They need love and elders should understand their problem. Cheers to Aamir Khan for producing such a wonderful movie.

Instead of sending films like Ekalavya to Oscar, we should send 'Taare zameen par' & most propably we can win this time!

You are 100% right luckyoo, Eklavya is based on religious story.......to know what was the aim behind making this new eklavaya, one has to read Mahabharata and the original story, which I am sure judges of Oscar awards have never read. When we are going to participate in international competition, we have to chose a topic which is common all around the world. TZP is based on common and important problem of children and would be more interesting from Oscars point of view.......any way.....you and me can do nothing......we have lost Oscars again.......Thanks for your support.

Hi apsara or wats ur name in real I fully agree with u,Its really a gift from aamir khan to us,It describes that wat a child need from his parents I think Darsheel(Ishaan)did a mindblasting acting in the movie,I think darsheel is also dont know that wat he did in the movie,He is a born star. And the imotion of the movie is speechless When i saw the movie i got tears in my eyes i was really crying,Specially in the song "MAA" I think every parent and not just parent everybody must see the movie. And thats u said about lyrics and direction I think "prasun joshi" is a master in writing And the most special person is "Aamir khan" He Present the movie in a very attractive style and also (Amole Gupte)who write teh story of the movie n he is also creative director of the movie. Thanks to all the cast and crew,They give us a beautiful movie "Tare Zameen Par" And i like u also coz from ur words i feel that ur also a very nice person,I would like to be ur friend Hope u will like me n receive my friendship Thanks Urs (Mohammad Tariq)
