Do you give your kids an allowance?

I give my kids allowance once a week.

I give my oldest two an allowance once a week but they also have age appropriate chores to earn it

Well not yet my kids arent old enough yet but as soon as they are then yes I will give them an allowance if they do good things like chores around the house and stuff like that.

I dont have any kids but If I did, I would give them an allowance only because I believe that it teaches a child responsibility. It teaches them how the work force can be like so that way they know kind of what to expect later on in life.

My son is eleven and used to get ten dollars a week, but since we started feeding feral cats we found under our porch his allowance money is being utilized for catfood. I will most likely start it up again for next year as he goes into middle school. He does not really have any chores as there are none to do, but he does clean up after himself, etc. Bonnie
