Facebook new applications

I really enjoy facebook more than any other social networking sites. They have a lot of new applications that I find very useful. For example, I'm going to Vancouver, Canada on a business trip. I've never been there and I don't know anyone there. However, aside from the convention I'm attending (which is in the daytime), I already have my whole social agenda planned out for the evenings. I've met so many friends through facebook's hospitality club. I've also been guided on the best restaurants and bars through the trip advisor application.
I also enjoy the fact that all major candidates for President of the U.S. are in facebook. I love politics and I get into the nitty gritty details of these candidates' profiles and activities. Plus, they update the public on various events, rallies, rumors, positions and appearances.
Another application I love is the neighborhood app, which allows me to know who my neighbors are. I've found some old friends who, by coincidence have moved in my neighborhood.
And finally, if I want to buy, sell, trade or study anything from real estate to cameras to pets or finding a university in australia...facebook has an app that finds you the info in one place.
I'm a facebook junkie, how about you?

i know what you mean. i spend hours on the trivia applications. i also love to send growing gifts and hatching eggs to my friends. it's really fun. they come up with new ideas for flowers and animals every day. you always get something new. i'm ranked 23 out of like 13,000 in x-files trivia. i could spend all day on facebook.

Growing gifts and hatching eggs?! What app is that, let me know...it sounds interesting. As far as x files, I don't do well with trivia games at all. If you want to challenge me to any trivia games on facebook, send me a private message. I'm on facebook at least 4 hours a day (even when I'm working).

Enjoy your stay in Canada! I am in Ontario and can't wait to be able to travel out through the prairies and BC! Yep, I enjoy facebook and it's many interesting applications, like being able to send 'booze mail' to your friends, etc. It is alot of fun, and I do like that your settings can be kept private, shown only to friends, or everyone as you see fit!

Thanks, I look forward to making new Canadian friends and associates. I'll be making my way to Toronto later this year, probably during the summer. I love our neighbors to the North.
I'm finally going to meet Canadian assocites who I've been networking with through Facebook. This will be the first time I'm gonna turn a bunch of picture and text into a live person.

i love facebook! i love the causes it supports and some of the groups it has...
i also enjoy a lot of apps on there such as word association...
i also like facebook because i have a lot of relative/friends that live a ways away that i can talk to...

Thanks cher, I know I will enjoy my stay in Canada. I've been to Montreal, and you're right, even in the french side they're a friendly lot. I'm sure the english side will be just as fun and friendly.
I agree with you on Facebook's apps. I just added the voicemail app which allows me and my friends to leave each other voice messages. It's fun to open my facebook and hear some familiar voices from lands far away!!!!! I've got lots of friends in the military who are overseas and this app brings us closer.
