I've moved around a pretty good bit in my lifetime & I have to say I'd definetly rather live in the country.Taking a trip to town a few times a week is okay as long as you have a decent vehicle & for little things you need there's always the country store. I like the city don't get me wrong but just to visit |;)
So,how about y'all city or country?

Hello meme. I was brought up in the city and have been used to city life, which is so convenient to us. I have some relatives living in the country. Two years ago my family went to the country to pay a visit to my aged aunt. I like it there for some reason as it is quiet in the country and I love to see those greens there, but there is one thing I am not in favor of, namely, it is inconvenient to get everything we wish to. But of course, every coin has two sides. Two of the greatest profits to living in the country are: you can grow your own food without paying high price for food like we do in the city and also the country air is fresh, which is good to health. Thank you for the nice discussion, meme.

Hey meme. I too am a country mouse. I much prefer looking at nature as opposed to looking at concrete and other houses that look all the same. We don't live near a large city, but it is big enough that I don't really enjoy going to town. I love being in the country and have spent much of my adult life there. Great discussion topic. thanks

I used to live in a country village and now I live on the edge of a coastal town with views of open countryside. I like the hilly landscape of where I used to live, with superb views of the green fields. I appreciated the friendly village post office and the convenient country store. Transport links were awful though. My nearest city was three miles away and it was a dark route home once outside the city limits. Cycling home after dark was a bit scary. My nearest train station was about a mile and a half away. I am glad my bike has 21 gears for it needed to in order to cope on all the steep roads.
Nowadays I enjoy seeing the gorgeous country views but the landscape is flatter here. There is a pretty river and lovely path for walking my dogs. I like the peace and quiet. I have the best of both world now because shops are nearby, a train station is one mile away and many buses go close to my home. The sea is only five miles away.
My favorite place to live is in just the countryside or this combined with the coast. Cities are fun to visit but I would not want to live in one. I like to live in a house not an apartment, to see open space, see pretty cottages and to live in a peaceful locality.

I'm a country girl. I like to live in a place where there's good air and where you can really build a nice cottage house with a nice garden. I like the peace and quiet, where I can enjoy reading a book over the fire or making dinner out of stuff I've grown in my vegetable patch.
Though from time to time, I would visit the city so I won't be bored or left out from the scene.

I grew up in a small town, moved to a city, and now I live in the country. I liked each of them for different reasons. I like living in the country where I am now, but I miss the city. We went back to the city last weekend to visit family, and my son said he misses it to.

I love the city life. There is always something to do, you can explore all the time, and the life and diversity of the cities I hang out in regularly (San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego) make it easy for me to choose the city life. I love being able to go shopping and to take in the atmosphere of the bigger cities and the different people. I like knowing everyone I see, but it's always nice not to see the same people too often no matter where I go. I like escaping to the country, where it's a vacation, but the fast-paced city life is definitely the one for me.

Country! I'm so ready to move back that it isn't funny. I love the openness, the outdoors, nature and you just can't experience all that in the city. Besides, you have nosy neighbors and I find most people living in rural areas much more interesting and nice!
