Japan has very unique dern-fashion, I think. They have their own level of fashion. It's not glamour, it's not expensive, it's not lux, it's not calm, it's not USUAL. Just like in the picture, Japan has a deadly fashion style, free expression. Harajuku they mentioned. I like it, it's unique. What do you think about new-age of fashion from Japan?

I am a big fan of Harajuku and other Japanese fashions. I think they are more accepting of personal style there. I often tell my husband that I would love to go to Japan simply for the fact that I could dress however I wanted and I probably wouldn't get shunned as easily as I would here. I'm a big fan of Gothic Lolita wear (surprising given my name, I know) but I simply don't think there is a place for it here in America. Japan definitely gets kudos in my book for being so fashion forward and accepting of those who chose to express themselves through fashion.

Yeah, I've taken to the Japanese culture quite quickly. I read Manga and watch Anime as well. I'm also a fan of their music and language although I'm not able to speak or read it, I hope to be fluent one day. Sometimes Japanese fashion can be a little too forward thinking for me but I'm usually able to wrap my mind around where their trends spawn from. Japan is one of the most culturally rich countries in the world. I envy that being a Scottish girl from California.

I think the fashion sense in Japan is really amazing. It's very unique. It seems it's all about not being afraid to be different...not just blending in with everyone else.

Yeah, that's the idea, they're not afraid to explore. I agree

teenagers, yes, the harajuku style - and this is what we wanted it to be..
its one of my favorite styles.. i can be myself.. i can express whatever it is in my mood.. and its the style of anime.. and its a freedom for me.. i have tons of photos for harajuku style.. i also collect stuffs, rare styles and contrasting colors for my own harajuku ramp.. its just so unique and rare for me.. im kinda tired of the usual fashion... and its so commercialized just to sell and make money.. no art anymore.. i have harajuku art, sharing it to my friends.. and showing the world what expression is really like..

I LOOOOVE harajuku style. I'm half jp myself, and I've witnessed the style in person when I go over to visit family. It's soooo cute & unique.
