After being ill from christmas i decided eventually to go to the dr. I have a dull but hot pain at the bottom of my ribs. Well, all been checked it appears i have straigned muscles here and it is something that will heal on its own even if it takes its time. The Dr. however also said i was showing signs of destructive stress relating to my work, he explained that the pressure was making me ill, anyone ever hasd this? how do you cope?

Pressure and stress can make you as sick, or sicker than anything else. Is there any way you can change jobs or occupations? Have you tried yoga? It's an incredible thing to do. It stretches you out and makes movement easier and gives you much more flexibility. I'd highly receommend trying it. Can you take muscle relaxers or something? I wish I had some answers for you - if I did, I'd surely give them to you. My best wishes and heartfelt sympathies, Eskarena.

Yes, my job is full of stress and at times it is also physically dangerous. For a full time job I work at a high security mental hospital. There have been murders there of both patients and staff by patients. On any given day there is at least one fight if not more that has to be broken up by staff members. I suffer from eczema and I recently had five days of paid vacation. During that time period the eczema went away. I was back one day and it has started to reappear. Also last night as I work the evening shift I had to run to another ward to help with a situation (although it turned out to be almost a false alarm). When I got there because I am overweight my heart was pounding and I had a hard time catching my breath. In addition my knees which were already hurting hurt even more.

My current job makes me stress, I worked in a graveyard shift and it's very stressing. Maybe taking vitamins will help me lessen my stress.

Yeah! Most of the jobs that require a lot of lifting have made me sick. Only after doing these jobs was I told I shouldn't lift over 25 lbs at once. Needless to say I'm now doing desk work.
