Hi jtmblossom, I wanted to share it with you our experienced before when my hubby and I went to Mount Hamilton where you can see live snow there. It's way too far from our place where we lived. But then after we got there in the gate going to snow, the police and guards are very strict. They won't allow you to come there and touch the snow. So i think when the snow looks risky, the police won't let you go to see because thats their responsibility when something wrong happens to you. But im sure there are place where you can touch and play the snow like New York, L.A and etc...

So,you mean that its not also safe when you are in snow? I've heard of what they called avalanch(i dont know if i spelled it right). Have you encountered such thing when you were in the snow?

One reason it doesn't snow is it might not be cold enough to do so. But there are other factors in it as well. You can read all about it at : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow It's really hard for me to describe what it feels like though. It's really light feeling when it's falling and kind of feels like a bunch oh of chipped ice might would feel when you pick it up on the ground.

Wow! how i really wish i would feel what you felt on the snow. I could not imagine when it drops. I always think of making halo-halo (a filipino dessert)with jackfruit, beans, shredded coconut jam, etc.,and of course ice chips from snow. Maybe we can eat snow, but not the yellow snow, because yellow snow is mixed up with pee, hehehe.Thank you for the website you referred me to.

Hello dear jtmblossom. I live in China and we have heavy snow this year, just right now. There are many places that are having snowfalls and it has caused a lot of problems to people's life. Now as the approaching of our traditional Spring Festival on the 4th of February, more and more people are trying to get back home before it arrives, but as the heavy snow and icy rain, many roads are blocked and unable for cars, buses, and even planes to travel through. Snow can be fun, but too much snow can cause trouble.

I live in socal and i have visited the snow, but i didn't enjoy it, i find it too cold,... i know i'm in the minority, but i'd much rather be in the sun than the cold!

I walked on snow and played it too. It is really a great thing. Also a very romantic scene nearly for everybody. Some countries might have a different climate because of their plant cover or geographical position and that why some places don't have snow
