Gianluigi Buffon is definitely one of the world's best goalkeepers as per my books. I love his composure between the goal and it would definitely be a reassuring presence for the defensive unit to have behind them. I would like to wish Gigi Buffon a very Happy B'day. Cheers! Ram

But, his playing in the Serie B was more due to the bribery scandal rather than the team getting relegated, so there was never any doubt that he was going to represent Italy despite that. Cheers! Ram

I wouldn't put them in the "new generation" category anymore. I'd say they are both very experienced and valuable goalkeepers.

Well I steted it wrong.. I meant young keepers not promising ones as they are probably the best... and i also agree with you with your comment below... He showed with that move that he prefers becoming a legend in the club of Juventus and Italy than going to a club just for money...

I think he is one of the best goalers in Italy after Inter's Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar at the moment. I always wished he would join the club that I support.

You couldn't get him, you vultures! Being a great character he decided to stay at Juve even if that meant playing in Serie B. That's also a reason why the Juve fans (among which I can be counted) love him, alongside his great performance.
