Eating black equals eating healthy! Do you eat black?

Seems that black food is loaded with anthocycanins which are pigments that stave off heart disease and caner. They even slow the growth of cancer that is already present in the colon! Dark colored produce is high in this pigment. Black foods that we should eat are: blackberries, figs, plugs, dark grapes and eggplant. Other sources besides produce are black beans and wild rice! Do you eat black?

Good Morning Cnurse :)) Now you have hit upon a color group of food I do not get to eat much of as my family does not care a lot for some of the foods that are black. Last weekend I tried eggplant in a lasagna type recipe. There was no pasta in this one just eggplant lots of herbs and seasonings, thick sauce and 4 different cheeses. this time the Boys and their kids ate it up :)) Black beans has a very fibrous skin that can be tough, so my group always prefer pintos or white beans. Blackberries have too many seeds for them... ON ON and on I could go... LMAO

I do!!! I love most all of them!!! Well, at least most of them...Eggplant has to be prepared a certain way or it becomes slimy and icky to me!!! My black beans are a staple in my life...love those gardenburger black bean chipotle pattie!!! Beans and rice are a perfect protein...and I eat them regularly!!! I just don't smother them in cheese!! But as to the fruits/produce, I must say there isn't one I've met that I don't like!!!!
