My son called me the other day to tell me he cut his finger off!! No I didn't need to go to the hospital he had someone with him. They got it back on,I'm so thankful. I know he's a grown man but I needed to go. He just turned 32 but if my boys are hurting so am I.I told him if anything ever happens again and he calls me I am coming!! Do ya'll feel the same way?

Is your son ok and am glad to hear they were able to save his finger? How awful, I am sorry. Yes, I would go anywhere I needed to go if it involves our kids and any emergency. One of our kids lives out of town and it's an all day drive and flight to get to her but I would get to her if she needed me just as soon as I could get a flight out.

Ouch! How did he cut his finger off? I am sure he just didn't want you to freak out seeing him without a finger. I bet he didn't realize how much worse it was for you not being there. I would want to be there for my son as well. He is only 8 now, so he has awhile before he can tell me not to come in a situation like that. BTW, I am glad they got it reattached.

Well, I myself am not even 32 yet but I was in a similar situation but with my husband. He came home from work one day and said that he cut his finger and needed to go to the hospital. Being his wife I wanted to be there with him. He told me NO he was fine and to just stay home. After several hours I called the hospital for them to tell me he needed his finger amputated. He only needed the top part removed but still, I was hurt he didnt want me there. I'll be same way though when my son's are older, they could be 50 and I'll still want to be there with them when they are hurt :)

Yes,I understand. Mom cares about her son quite much. When I get hurt, she seems to feel more painful than I am.Actually you needn't worry too much. 32 years is no longer young. He surly can manage everything good.
