1.- Yes, Drinking Too Much Coffee Can Be Bad For Your Health For most people, moderate doses of caffeine - 200 to 300 milligrams (mg), or about 2 to 3 cups of brewed coffee a day - are not harmful Though moderate caffeine intake isn't likely to cause harm, too much can noticeably affect your health. Heavy daily caffeine use - more than 500 to 600 mg a day, or about 4 to 7 cups of coffee - can cause - restlesness - anxiety - irritability - muscle tremors - sleepessness - headaches - nausea, diarrhea or other gastrointestinal problems - abnormal heart rhythms ----------------------------------------------------- 2.- Yes, Drinking Coffee In Moderate Amount (2 to 3 cups/day) Is Good For Health - in less than 1 hour you start to feel caffeine's effects. You are more alert, energetic and productive. You mood lifts and that foggy, tired feeling is gone. - regarding other health effects of coffee, some evidence suggests that drinking coffee may protect against type 2 diabetes and colon cancer. But there is much more evidence of a protective effect from fruits, vegetables and whole grains than from coffee. So don't be afraid to enjoy your coffee as part of a healthy diet that includes a wide variety of foods. ----------------------------------------------------- This information is from Mayo Clinic. Hi javmagik029, "Drinking Coffee is bad for health" this is what a latest research says. It was mentioned that coffine the active ingredient increases blood sugar and supress the hungry. So people should be more careful with regard to taking coffee and at no point a person should get addicted to coffee. Drinking a cup of coffee per day will not do much harm but researchers are worried about its habtuation effect on people. Good Luck.

There is the light side of drinking coffee. And there is the dark side. As to the former, intake of coffee can increase the level of mental performance. For those who are slow in concentration, coffee is your savior. However, the recommended daily intake of coffee is only 1 cup. More of this will lead us to coffee's dark side. Consuming more coffee daily and becoming entirely dependent on coffee is something to be avoided. You may not know it but the persons surrounding you may comment on your behavior. You are irritable, restless, tense and nervous. Also, headache may be your frequent visitor. Other than that, you may have trouble sleeping. This is due to the effect that coffee has on the nervous system. Our body system is likewise in danger. We should also be aware of the health problems that coffee poses such as heart attack, ulcer, heartburn, diabetes, liver cirrhosis, chest pains, and so on and so forth. Therefore, we should weigh the consequences of drinking coffee before we take a sip. If we want to live longer and be healthier, I believe that coffee should be deleted in our daily menu. I've started drinking coffee since college but I am proud to say that at present I am caffeine-free. Coffee for me was very useful and effective during my college years. In fact, I can say that I was addicted to coffee back then because I made coffee my water. But I realized that taking care of your body is showing your love for yourself. Never take your body for granted because in the end it is you who will suffer and there is no way of turning back time. Start loving yourself now by drinking and eating the right stuff. It is never too late.

Better to stick to unsweetened tea. It still contains caffeine but the positives outweigh the negatives. Coffee is bad for you, people get very addicted to it and like others have said, have bad withdrawals, feel tired without and damage their liver and heart in the process. One or two a day shouldn't do you much damage though (maybe I am wrong..!) Just don't use it as a way of keeping awake etc.

Yes, most people are aware that coffee is not good for the body in large doses, but tea contains the same amount of caffein as coffee. However there may be other substances in coffee which do the damage. I do drink a certain amount of coffee (not strong), and also tea, but I really like herbal teas which are taken with no milk. And don't forget WATER - good plain water is so good for your body - after all it makes up the biggest percentage of our bodies! We all know what happens to plants that don't get watered! Drink coffee occasionally, but plenty of water and other fluids also. Here's to good health!Margie

No way, Coffee is good in health. Try Linzhi coffee that is good for health and a mushroom content. It is an international approval. Try to Search Linzhi Coffee if you want.

Yeah I'm with you there. It seems like i cannot get enough of the stuff. As far as it being bad for you, I guess the caffeine does it. I, for one, cannot stand decaffinated coffee, so I stick to the high test stuff. Yeah, but pretty much anything in excess is bad for you (except water I guess). If you can stand it try to drink decaff. If you are anything like me, you will just end up accepting the fact that regular is not the best for you, and keep on downing the joe.

I don't think so. Just make sure that you don't drink too much. Well you see, anything if its too much it always turns out badly. Coffee is good for as long as you don't drink too much.
