Which do prefer using white gold or the yellow gold?

SInce I was young I loved to use the white gold jewelries or the silver ones. I was not really attracted to the yeloow gold that abound the market. I dont like their color and dont like its effect on my skin or in my body.
I love using the white gold coz it simple and for me its elegant to look at than those of the yellow ones. I just wonder which is more valuable, is it the yellow gold or the yellow gold?I hope mylotters can share their preferences when it comes to jewelries.

I like white gold better. I like white and silver jewelry more than really colorful kinds.

For me I really Like silver or white gold. I just really never hardly liked the gold color. I do have a gold class ring but that is the only jewelry that is gold because I thought that it just looked better gold..but anyway I really like silver and would choose it over gold! :}

Class rings are always in gold but I wonder why.Thats the main reason I did not get any class ring just because of the color and another reason is the design, i dont like the designs of class rings coz the look bulky and big, i only like those simple and not so complicated designs which they do not have.

i like jewelry made of white gold/yellow gold but i choose the white gold than yellow gold because its simple and its not very recognizeble to the bad people in the street and about silver i like it also but i have allergic only a few hours i feel itchy specially silver earrings.

I guess it depends on your coloring and your age. When I was a kid all my jewlery like rings and bracelets were in the white gold. As I have gotten older I have gotten more yellow gold.

Yes I do believe that age and skin color has something to do with our preferences, i also know a relative who has a collection of heirloom silver pieces and whit gold ones.Their designs are more complex and the pieces are somewhat heavy with lots of stones in them.
The new pieces of today are simple and thin and more classy to look at and not that heavy too.

I find myself more drawn to the white gold and silver metals just as you are...
they look better on my skin and are so gentle to the eyes, yellow gold seems a little harsher. I also like the black hills gold which is tri color - it has a rose gold in it.

Hello there, for some reasons I prefer yellow gold as it shines as it is gold. However, the white gold sometimes looks like silver, especially after being used for a while. So its value seems drop although both white and yellow gold are more or less the same value and price.

Thank you for answering my question on the value, so white gold has lesser value than the yellow ones. It does not matter to me when it comes to value, what i think more is that it suits me and im comfortable wearing white golds than the yellow golds.

i also like white gold. i have heard recently from a friend who went for an image course, that her skin tone suits yellow gold more. yellow gold is not so fashionable these days and most young people love wearing white gold. but that friend of mine is going to wear more yellow gold cos it sets off her features and her skin tone more. i guess that makes sense. we should wear what suits our complexion and flatters our figure more than what is purely in vogue at the moment.

Yes, i have seen the trend in white gold and more and more people are using it these days, except for those are are really yellow gold lovers, that could explain that we do have different preferences when it comes to many things like jewelries.

I've always preferred white gold and silver over yellow gold. Granted it could be because Yellow gold just does not look that good on me. LOL

Well you can have soon and I tell thats a good choice. You know I only have a silver bracelet thats been 8 years old, an earring and a white gold ring which looks like a wedding band, with tiny stones in them. I am not that jewelry buyer coz i cant afford it.

I like white gold better. I just don't like the way yellow gold looks on my skin. I've always liked the white gold better.

I prefer white gold as it looks clean, simple and elegant. yellow gold doesn't look good on my skintone, apart from the ring I'm planning to use as my wedding ring, which is a very very high carat antique gold ring, and has a lovely warm, rich colour, rather than the brassy yellowy colour most yellow gold has.

I like white gold better then yellow go also. I do like yellow gold also.
I do not wear much jewlery of gold, or silver. I do wear necklaces but made of beads.

I like both. Sometimes when i feel like being glamorous i usually use the yellow ones.. White gold jewelries seem subtle for me at times that's why i prefer the yellow ones. But there are times also that don't like yellow and prefer the whites because that's what matches my outfit and mood. So it really depends. I don't really care whatever it is as long as it fits and suits the whole of me when i wear it.
