So, how many here know what and when "Super Tuesday" is? Does it have anything to do with the Super Bowl? Inquiring minds want to know... Annie

Ok, I am problably the last to know the answer to this if it has anything to do with football. But is sounds great. IS it perhaps an awards ceremony day?

It has nothing to do with football but there are some similarities; there will be opponents who have taken and given some hard hits and who will be hoping to score big and have a great day. The participants have already eliminated some formidable opponents so they are definitely strong in their own way. But the difference is this isn't the final game, it's not even the final play-off. Ah...lol after reading the other comments I see that I was WAY off. Oh well. On an election year I seldom watch tv due to the bickering. I feel I am much better off.

To answer your "Inquiring Minds" Super Tuesday si when many state have their primary elections and about 40% of the delegates to the national convention will be committed to a candadate. Some states are winner take all and other states you can win the popular vote but lose in the delegate count(as happende to Hillary in Nevada. She won the popular vote but Obama won the most delegates). It is suspose to be the day the candadates are finally narrowed down and one is the winner. This year it may only make the later primarys more important as there seems to be no clear cut front runner in either party. I hope that satisfies the Inquiring minds

I hope that I get to have my vote counted too. I think we need a more compressed primary season and have more choices.

Congratulations, you're the winner! You explained it very well, I might add. I like that it won't be completely decided in one or both parties this soon. I know it's too much to hope for that my state of Pennsylvania have some voice in the process but at least maybe it won't all be decided months before our primary. Annie

No. I mean both parties. To become president you have to know how to lie.

I do not have a clue about "Super Tuesday," or the Super Bowl. I am not a sports fan at all. Just make sure that Janet and Justin stay home, LOL, just kidding. I really don't believe she did that on purpose.

Well, I'm sure you know by now. But Super Tuesday is when we vote for our candidates who will eventually run for president. And each county, state, have their own propositions to vote for also. It's always quite the experience. Though in my county it was very slow. I was done in less then five minutes.

Bobmnu has it right. If you happen to be a registered voter, check your state to see if your primary is on Super Tuesday, February 5. If it is, please educate yourself first and then vote. You can probably tell if your state is having their election next week as you watch commercials on TV this weekend. If every other commercial between now and Tuesday night (not counting during the Super Bowl, of course) is a commercial for a politician, then Tuesday is probably your election day.

I have no idea what you mean by "super tuesday", sorry. But speaking of tuesdays, we in Canada, have 10% tuesday. hehe We have a couple stores that have 10% off all purchases every first tuesday of the month. Sobey's and IGA do it and now, so does Safeway. I guess they figured they should get on the band wagon after Sobeys and IGA have been doing it for a few years. I think a lot of people leave their really big shopping trip for that day because that's when the stores are very busy.
