do you think you're intelligent?

there are a lot of people saying that "I am intelligent because I have straight A's!" In my opinion though, intelligence can't be measured by how many A's you have achieved but rather, how well can you live your life. how about you? how would you define intelligence? do you think you're intelligent?

i never had straight "A's" either. you are very right. it isn't measured purely in academics. intelligence goes hand in hand with wisdom. wisdom of things. i had a classmate back in college who's always the dean's lister -- but when we graduated and becamse part of the real world, he had problems coping up because he was all theory. unlike us (the people who loved to party) were able to take control of a difficult situation without referring to books.

I think intelligence is how one uses the gift of wisdom that has been bestowed upon him. One may think he is intelligent, but he just can't make the right decisions in life. This means he is not actually using the gift of wisdom. Sometimes I think intelligent is different from being smart. Some people are intelligent, but they aren't smart. They know the right things to do, but they don't do it. They know how to do the right things, still they don't do it. That means they are intelligent, but they aren't smart. Or maybe they're just lazy?
