Next to shoes, I LOVe purses! But it has to be just the right kind. . Anyway, I have been looking for one for awhile now and just can't find one. Went to JC PEnny yesteday and had a gift card from my kids and a 15% off coupon and told myself, I can buy any purse I want... up to $50. So, I didn't even look at the price tag - whichi s what I always do first - but I just looked for one I liked! OUt of the whole big department of purses, i picked up the only one I liked - $115 marked down to $78. Okay, back on the shelf that went! So today, I went over to Kohl's to return something and just thought, okay, check out purses. I bought 5 purses for $30!! They were on sale 75% off - and they were so cute nad perfect and 3 are for every day and 2 are for more "longer" days - you know, when you need to put more than just the daily necessities. Those were canvas and $3.60 each! The 5 for $30 - what a deal! I love my purses!! What kind of purse do you like and what makes the "perfect" purse for you?

my purse - purse with Australian $50 note theme
I love shoes, bags and purses also, and i know what you mean how hard it is to find the right one, luclily i don't have expensive taste as i am always changing mine, it is hard to find a small one that will take all that needs to be taken with you when yo go out...here is my last purse i bought that has had so many comments from people, it has the Aistralian $50 note patterned all over it, which is very appropriate i think....

My tastes get bitter at about $15! I have never spent more than that. Either they are to small (for my wallet!) or to large, why carry all that around?

I confess that although I like pretty purses I don't use them that much so I don't look for them or buy them often. I usually prefer to have my backpacks. SOme are big enough to put all the stuff I need with me sometimes, some are smaller. The one I use the most his one of those special ones for the laptop. I need it because although I have the computers at school the one they gave me is an old thing that crawls and I can't even use my own programs there. So I use my laptop all the time.

Guess I wouldn't call my purses "pretty". I kind of go "practical" and then find something nice. Can't think that I have had a "pretty" purse in a long time! I have severl I Love Lucy purses and they are fun and nice, but wouldn't call them pretty. The others are practical and colors that go with everything - browns and blues and beige. But backpack - I went through that stage too.Hands free is worth alot! Ya gotta get what carries what you need!

I just got two at a Butterfly Party..and I love them. They are done by designers and are so cute! I usually stick to basic colors but this time I stepped out of the box and got a lime green one and a camel colored one! And way to score on yours!

I have had a couple of Coach purses, the main purse I carry right now is a black Coach bag. We get them on base when they are marked down and since it is on base, no tax. I have also had a Prada purse, that I just threw out because it was small and I crammed so much stuff in it that I eventually popped the seam a little bit. My husband stared at me wide-eyed when I threw it in the trash, but there is no use keeping a broken purse that I am not going to use! I don't buy purses often, I buy one expensive purse. My kid's step-mom (and my best friend) is just the opposite. She buys tons of purses but they are all under $20. By the time she is through buying all those purses, she could have a couple of really nice ones. But that is her choice. Her style changes often so it works out well for her. My daughter and her two daughter's just end up inheriting a bunch of purses, which at 2, 6 and 7 years old they love!

Your post made me rememeber...YEARS ago - 32 to be exact, we just moved out to calfornia and a friend of my brothers that came with us - found this brown leather purse in the trash at their apartment complex. He gave it to me and I thought that was the neatest purse! I carried that one till it tore from the stitching and the buckle tore off! It had pockets nad zipper things and just the nestest! Good grief...guess I haven't changed much - still dont' take much to make me happy!

Back to Wal-Mart for the purses. I have one particular style that I tend to end up with, which I guess might be called a hobo bag. The handle is long enough to go on my shoulder, but not too long. It zips across the top and has a zipper pocket on the outside and kind of "slouches" when you hold it up. I have a black one with some light-colored stitching on it for winter and a similar one in a bone color for summer. I've carried both now for two or three seasons each. I've had expensive purses in the past and they wear out just as quickly as the inexpensive ones, and these look just fine, so I'm happy. Now, if Ed McMahon (or anyone else) delivered one of those gigantic checks to my door, I'll admit that I would go for a very soft leather, but it would be the same style. I should say "they" would be the same style 'cause I'd probably buy one in every color - and then likely just carry the same one the majority of the time.

I usually buy at Target or Mervyns sales for purses. Usually find nice ones for about $10 or less. I don't spend more than that, ergo my problem of finding the perfect one I guess! I was ready to treat myself to soemthing I wanted and never ever got to do - just buy one I liked (longa s it didn't go over $50) and couldn't find one! That was annoying!

Sounds like I need to head over to Kohls. I work at JcPenney's, and my discount doesn't help a whole lot w/ their purses. lol. it's funny because they just put a kohl's up, and i have to be careful when i go there. i'm shopping w/ the competitor and i can't let them know i work at JCPenneys, and i can't let JCP see me shopping there. lol. it's so funny. at work, we'll whisper "i went to kohl's...". anyway. one of my favorite places to buy purses is TJ Maxx. They have the namebrand purses that i like. I usually end up w/ Tommy or XOXO(hugs and kisses). i like the small purses that are hugged under your arm. i don't like anything too big, becauase then i'm tempted to stuff it to no end. lol.

That's where I was lookin g- JC Penney. I had $50gift card and a 15% off coupon. I was just going to find one I liked and buy it! Never have been able to do that before! I looked and looked, went around again and nlook and looked, and literally didn't find a purse that I really liked! I found one that was at least close, and looked at the price and it was $78 - marked down from $115! Couldn't belive it! Then i go over to Kohl's and find these bargains. Just cause they are more expensive, doesnt' mean they are better!

I haven't a clue as to purse brand names except Mudd from Mervyns and.... whatever it is from Target! My daughter gave me a Dooney & Bourke (if that is spelled right) she didn't want it anymore, and I use it but I don't like it much. She paid a nice price for it, but I just don't see the difference

I have about four perfect purses. And I found one of them at Penney's.It was on sale. It is a brown denim purse that looks like it was made out of jeans. I got it for, are you ready?I got it for 14.95! It was on clearance and I found it in the fall. I guess it was a summer purse. I like purses with long enough that I can wear them over me so my hands are free. I also need a purse that is big enough to carry everything I need. And I like them in brown. So when I saw the purse at Penney's I was in love.most of my purses I got at either Kmart or Walmart. They all were at least 10.00.The last purse I got was like the Penney's purse but it was in denim blue and I got it at Target.I was about 14.00.I got it with a gift card Christmas 2006.

Yeah, just cause they are more expensive, doesn't mean that they are better. My daughter gave me a Dooney & Borke (if that is spelled right) and I know she paid big bucks for it. She just got tired of it and asked me if I wanted it. I hadn't a clue as to who the maker was! It is okay, nothing I'd take on a few hour shopping trip tho. I like these 4 I just got better! Target and Mervyns is usually where I buy mine - and seldom over $10 and no more than $15 if necessary - which hasn't happened in a few years at least!Just watch the sales, might have to wait but just think of the money you save - cause you waited, you get to buy two for the same price others paid for one!

Purses as an accessory - I love to collect purses in different colors and design.
I also love purses. I was in search of good purse that I dreamed of. I finally found a good one that too at a reasonable cost. The quality of the purse is also good in cream color. I finally got the one I got. But, I love to keep different types and color purses for different occasions.

Mmmm, I love purses too! Although it can be tough to find a nice one. I find some seasons I like all the purses available, and then other seasons I hate every single one in the stores. So it can be really hit or miss. Last season was a really good purse season! I found tons that I loved - although I could only afford to buy a few of my favorites. Although it looks like I made some good purchases, because I hate all the purse styles that seem to be coming out this next season. So it looks like my recent purse purchases will have to last me a little while. Glad to hear that you finally found something you liked. And at such a good deal too! That makes shopping even more fun!

Oops, accidentally hit the post button! I love leather purses. I just bought a clutch with a little wrist strap in a gorgeous pewter color. I just love it! I also have a snake skin handbag that is different shades of orange and brown - it's definitely my favorite! I could spend a fortune on purses, so I have to make sure to keep myself in check when I go shopping!

I'm really picky with purses and shoes too. I live in a really small community and it's really hard to find anything I like because there's only two stores I can buy anything from! And usually they're all plain and boring purses and handbags. I like fashionable and decorative ones. My most recent purse I've added to my wishlist, is the new Starlet handbags by Paris Hilton. They have them at JCPenney's but they don't have a JCPenney's where I leave. They don't seem like they're very expensive either. They've got black, silver, gold, pink and a couple other colors I believe, but she has some nice ones out. I plan on saving up a little and then buying a couple off of the store's website.

I don't look at names at all. I look at what I like, then the price tag! Just went back to Kohl's yesterday and found a realy cute pink purse! $3.80. I have not a single thing pink except for a pair of clogs that were $5 at Walmart and SOOO cute, so I bought them to wear together. I was in search of a wallet (have been looking for awhile for the kind I like) and found one, on sale for $12 and needed it so I broke down and spent it - it was pink...

I am the opposite of you, I am not fun of purses. I don't like bringing purses when I have to go somewhere. I just don't what to put inside my purse. I usually place portable things (just like coins and paper bills) on my pockets. I remember when I was in my college years, most of my classmates use to carry purses. I have look into what is inside their purses, and what they have their are make-ups, and their wallets. Upon seeing those, I told myself I don't need purse as I am not use to carrying combs and make-ups. I don't bring money, when I go out, unless I have something to use for the money, I have it placed on my pocket. But I admire women who use purses. They look wonderful and beautiful. Especially when they carry their purses with confidence.

Yeah, I remember high school purse issues too! I had one and would always want to see what other girls had in theirs - I wasn't allowed makeup and didn't have allowance to buy things and all that - but I'd see what they had and try to come up with something similar. I remember "some" girls always taking their pencil out of their purse and acting so cool and popular!

I like anything that is big enough, but not insanely huge so I can comfortably carry everything I need/want, but not have to lug around something that is as big as I am. I don't even really care much for the design of the bag either, as long as it looks good to me.

wow nice deals. I wish we had a kohls closer to our house. Ours is an hour away. At the moment I use a diaper bags as my purse but my mother in law bought me a couch purse which I keep hearing that is a really awesome purse but I don't understand why. If I would know where she bought it I would take it back and get me some clothes with the money. It will be awhile before I use a purse again and when I do I don't want this expensive purse that someone may rob me for because its a name brand and they think I have money. I love getting good deals like that.
