Are there any Helium writers here that have been paid? I wrote an article back in December and in the beginning of January received an email from them stating that they had a buyer for the article. After all of the agreements, they said I would get paid when they get paid. Does anyone happen to know how long this usually takes?

I get paid every month and earn around 300-500 dollars a month and have never had any trouble getting payments at all. If you would like more information on how to make the most of the site, write me at thingywhatsit51@yahoo.com Rachel

I am nothing special and anyone can earn that amount if they put their heart into it and write good quality articles. Many people waste their time online and achieve very little but with a little focus those earnings are there for everyone.

Thanks Rachel. Sounds like you must be quite the writer to be getting paid so much. Excellent. Congratulations to you and your talent!

Are you still writing at Helium? Do you really make that much? Do you focus on one channel, or just marketplace, just contests, what? I have been on Helium for about a month and half. I only have 11 articles. A couple that are doing very poorly. Could you critique them? If you are doing that well, you know the style and techniques needed to make it profitable. I love to write, and would love to be able to use it to help my family. I'm a homeschooling mother of four, and currently taking college classes as well. I only have about an hour to two a day to spend on my writing. I usually spend at least two if not three or four hours per article, depending on the topic. I try to write on topics I am passionate about, because it seems that's my best inspiration. But I would like to break out of that, and get into some of the journalistic articles in marketplace.

Hi kykidd, I write for Hellium, but only started about three weeks ago. I don't know how it will work out but I know their minimum payout is $25.00. I also started writing for Triond about a month ago. myLot is still my favourite site, at least for now. Blessings.

I am not familiar with Triond. Is it similar to myLot, or is it more like helium where you have to write a whole article. Thanks for posting and have a great day!

Wow congratulations! Did you write the piece in the marketplace? I am so happy for you! I am a writer there but I haven't experienced your situation so I can't really tell how long it would take. If you have any question, I think you could email them about it since they are quite nice. Keep us posted of the progress!

Oh, thanks for the congrats. Yes, it was for Driving Woman, but I don't see them listed on the marketplace anymore. I kind of liked writing those since I have a bit of an automotive background. Hopefully they'll have more sometime soon. Thanks for your response and have a great day posting.

Thanks for the congrats. I finally did get paid. I think it may have something to do with the magazine that purchases your article too, because they said they were waiting on a check from them.

I heard it usually takes 6-8 weeks before you receive any money once a publisher decides to buy it. However the page views earnings update every date.

Oh, you're kind of new there too. I like the new contest they are having which lasts all the way into April. I guess it is to try to keep people more active. If it pays off I think it will be well worth the while. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

Congrats on the market place selection. very well done. I have not been selected so I can't say for sure but I was browsing the helium discussion boards and saw people asking the same as you. From what I remember the time taken to pay varies on the publisher. Helium won't pay you till they get paid, so you could have a little wait. Good luck with it all

Good information. It has been almost 2 months now and I have yet to be paid. I did receive an email today that said they are waiting for the check to clear from the publisher and I would be paid next week. Funny thing, 2 weeks ago they said they had confirmation that the check was in the mail and after it was received they would wait 5 days to clear. That is why I gave them 2 weeks before asking again what was up. Kind of curious that next week is the beginning of a new month, so I can't actually be paid from them until the middle of April. Oh well, just looking forward to payment.

Definitely sounds like something worth checking into. I need to find something to make more money soon, or I am going to have to go back to work for someone else. I am considering it right now anyway. But kind of wanted to wait until after winter. Thanks for your response and have a great day posting.

I'm sorry, I have never ventured in to the market place since I write a lot for Associated Content. I know I have been writing for Helium since November and only have about $6.00, I have slowed down my writing there, because I know I will get more on AC. I hate spending all that time writing an article that will earn me .09 from a site, that I still don't even know pays out. Let us know when they pay you though I am interested as well, if they pay. Congratulations on having someone purchase your article. I hope it works out for you. I am sorry that I was not able to help you.
