So this is the one time i'm going to complain guys. MY back really hurts, and i can't take anything except tylenol, and that isn't helping work a lick. Any of you who've been preggy before have any advice, i didn't have a lot of back pain last time except the last two weeks or so, and it wasn't bad. This just started today.. I hope its gone tomorrrow!!

How many weeks have you got left Sugar? You know what Sunshine I really want you to stay off your feet some. Other then that, a hot bath, heating pad or have that Canuck Prince give you a good rub with some lotion or oil. Many women find stretching helps. Deep breathing and reach for the sky. you are in the home stretch. Every birth is different. Take care of yourself...... Only good clean BOB's too from here on out!

Sweetie, I know all about shift work that all Pops and I have ever done. Take that shower... stand with your arms placed against the wall and let the water hit your back.. Arch like an old black cat. Breath. When that Prince wakes up make him give you that rub..even five minutes can relax tensed up muscles. Kiss Hon, I soooo feel for you.

I dont have a heating pad or a darn bathtub, i wish i did. i'm going to try a shower here in a few mins. almost bath time for the baby. Poor thing gotta still sit up in a baby bathtub lol. Sometimes she showers with me. Mr. Canuck is sleepign and has been since lunch time! He works midnights so he sleep WEIRD hours. which i'm not impressed with!! What I did was lie down on the floor in front of the couch and put my feet up. That would take the pressure off my lower back. I also, especially with my last one, had problems with that nerve,(some who have had children know what nerve I mean)and this helped with that after an attack..

That is it, I couldn't remember the name or I would have tried to at least spell it out.. All I remember was the pain, I had it so bad with my youngest, that when it started hurting, I would fall down where I was at and crawl to a place to lie down..

Do you sleep with a pillow between your knees? I slept with one between my knees and a flatter one under my belly. I had back pain with all four of my pregnancies. My husband bought me some of those heat patches with my last baby, they helped a little bit too.

HAHAHA I'm sorry I am not laughing at you but my second pregnacy was HORRIBLE. Thats why I didn't want to have any more. I had pains for like 5 months, back pain, leg pain, belly pain and tons of nauseau. The only thing that really helped me was putting my feet up and getting hubby to rub my back...Good luck tho, oh and try a nice hot bath...I loved baths when I was preggy!!!!

all you need is to get a massage.. go to a local massage place and get one done there the money is well worth it.. or it was for me.. or if you can not afford one get your man or a good friend to do it for you ( but best best is with a pro) and A535 helps aswell

Oh yeah, how far long are you cause you could be in labor, so be careful. Since you don't have a heating pad, try getting a bath towel and putting hot water on it and placing it on your back...but I am not a medical person so it is just a suggestion, it worked for me.

Well when I was pregnant with my last I had horrible back pain to the point where it hurt to walk .. I talked to my doctor who said heating pad and to put my other half in pain also. My other half was sitting there while he was telling me this LOL!! I think my other half almost had a massive coronary becuase the doctor stated that..

I cannot help you too much there Lil Sis. I rode my bike to the doctor's office for visits right up until I went into the hospital with both kids and I split wood for the wood stove with the second one right up until I was about due. Maybe that is why my back didn't hurt. There wasn't time. Plus I carried the kids sideways and real high. They say that keeps the backaches away. Too late for that huh. There is an exercise that will help a backache. Get on your hands and knees and arch your back up and then down slowly several times until you get relief. Then when you stand try to push your lower back out instead of letting it curve forward. Good luck, it won't be too much longer now and it will be worth the misery!!! Shalom~Adoniah

oh yes!! i remember that excersize they told me about it in prenatal class so many moons ago! Thank you for the reminder.. You must be quite the woman to be out splittin wood 9 months preggo! lol. Last time i wasn't even working the last month i took off work a month early to relax and sleep before the baby came! That was smart, however no time for that this time! Thanks for the well wishings Adoniah! as always its been a pleasure ;)

My advice to you is that whenever you have to stand for a prolonged period of time, use a small stool to prop up one foot at a time. This will help reduce the amount of stress to your back.

Oh, I feel for you Sissygrl! Luckily, I never had back pain while I was pregnant, but I have had back pain before, so I can only imagine it must be a lot worse to have back pain AND be pregnant...OUCH! I hope it goes away very soon for you! It must be something awful!
