Stress, depression, can cause it. You might have a vitamin deficency also. Have you tried taking vitamins everyday and your vitamin B complex, And eating healthier foods staying away from alot of mind numbing junk foods. Hey I just went to the wikipedia and here is what it said about memory loss and how to improve it. The best way to improve memory seems to be to increase the supply of oxygen to the brain, which may be accomplished with aerobic exercises; walking for three hours each week suffices, as does swimming or bicycle riding. Such aerobic exercises have helped elderly people switch between mental tasks, concentrate better, and improve short-term memory. Exercise increases the number of connections between neurons, which is responsible for improved memory. The International Longevity Center released in 2001 a report which includes in pages 14-16 recommendations for keeping the mind in good functionality until advanced age. Some of the recommendations are to stay intellectually active through learning, training or reading, to keep physically active so to promote blood irrigation to the brain, to socialize, to reduce stress, to keep sleep time regular, to avoid depression or emotional instability and to observe good nutrition. Hoped some of this is what you were looking for..

What you believe about your memory can have an impact on how well you remember things, says Robin West, PhD, pychology professor at the University of Florida in Gainsville. When she had a group of volunteers attempt a difficult memory task, she found that those who were told that memory was a skill that could be improved with effort did better than those who was told there memory coundn't be improved. "Its a self-fulfilling prophecy if you assume you cann't do it you don't put forth enough effort or pay as much attention, or do what it takes to succeed," says West. I found this is true when I put forth more effort to remember a number or a sentence, the more I try the better my results be come sure sometimes i'm like I'm starting to remember things right away then other times I can't remember I just keep pushing my self to remember with out looking up the answer, because I what to remember thing in my older years so I keep fighter to remember things.

Have you had your baby on the normal way or through CS? I have heard that anesthesia affects memory. I also encounter this memory problem at times as I had undergone operation twice, first when I had appendectomy ( when my appendix was taken out) and when I had my baby. But I try to overcome this memory problem by making lists so that I will not forget the things that I have to do, or things that I should buy. These lists have been helping me alot as well as saves my time in remembering what are the things that I should be doing, prioritizing for the day and what are the items that I should be buying in the store.
