Parcel Delivery - No Signature Required after all.

Those of you who read my discussion reference the delivery of a new modem the other day, will remember that the Delivery Man left a card saying the parcel required a signature and he would attempt delivery the next working day. Ok, I waited all weekend to have a pop at him, lol, and here's what happened. I saw his van go past the flat, and he hadn't knocked, so I rang the depot and they said it was definitely on for delivery. I told them what had happened on the Friday and he said, it was on the van, but might be at the back, and he might come later, as I explained I had seen him go past. So then, I phoned my neighbour and told her he would be back later, and could she keep a watch out for him because I couldn't get down to answer the door. She said, ok. Well, she popped around about an hour later, and let herself in, carrying the parcel with her. I asked if he had just been and she said, she didn't know, it was on the doorstep. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! Now, why couldn't he have done that on Friday. The parcel didn't get a signature of receipt and he didn't knock either. He must have crept up to the door, put it down, and scuttled off! Anyway, I got my delivery, so all is well, but that sort of thing makes my blood boil. He must have known I was going to give him that "flea in the ear"! lol.

and why when I first started to read this I just knew he had already dropped it.! our UPS man here sometimes honks before he gets out to deliver and I meet him at the door . But other times he just drops it and knocks. I dont know why your man couldnt have done that Friday. If he is same one that delivers in your area I would wait and see when he is there and stop him and cuss him out! I would get that satisfaction the sneaky so and so! lol HUgs glad ya finally got your modem tho .

Wow... some neighbour. I think you could sue for that, as the neighbour's signature is available at the Delivery Depot. If they won't let you have it, then sue them! Brightest Blessings.

Hmmmm do you think he is a member here on mylot and read your discussion about him! That is such a pain - why leave it today after taking it away on Friday? makes no sense to me sweety. Is that leg of yours still bad? Are you thinking of getting it seen to? I do hope so I am worried about you! Hugs my dear friend! xxx

Wow... good thought Mummymo. I didn't even entertain that idea, but yes, he could well be, and perhaps he rushed off to see what I said about him next. ha ha ha My leg is getting better, slowly. I'm trying to keep it active, and stop it from weakening too much, so that I don't need physiotherapy when it does feel better. I bend and straighten it as much as I can. Can't quite get it straight yet, because it still hurts when I do, but I'm bending and straightening about twenty times a day, as well as using it to help push my chair around. I can also stand for a few, using it as a balance without putting too much pressure on it, and in bed, I flex my foot in a circular and a side to side motion, to keep that from seizing up. That and the rest seems to be helping me to recover, so keep your fingers crossed for me. :) Brightest Blessings, love and hugs. xxx

Yes, I think he must have had some idea I was watching out for him. I do so hate double standards though! Yes, I got my package in the end, and I'm happy but there will be a time when he has to call here again, and the big, bad wolf will be waiting to pounce. ha ha ha. Brightest Blessings.x

It is always frustrating when you have a good dander up, and you cannot blow it up at the person you want to. You have to be ever so carful no to take it out on the wrong person later too. You don't want to hurt the wrong person's feelings or kick the dog so to speak. At least you got your package though, and your neighbor was kind enough to carry it up for you. She is a blessing. Ha ha ha... yes it is frustrating to say the least, Adoniah, but I would never take it out on anybody else, and least of all kick an animal. Yes, I was happy to get it. My neighbour is a good one and very helpful. :) Brightest Blessings.
