Don't Worry About What You Don't Have And Don't Settle For "Society's" Reality

Blessings! I decided to post this topic in hopes that people will begin to understand what is important in life. Constantly thinking about the lack of this and the lack of that, is not and will not make things any better. Too many go about their daily lives pondering on the things that they don't have as if they were more important than the things currently in their possession. What ever happened to appreciation? What happened to loving the things and the people we have in are lives now? If you just sit back and think for a second "I am blessed, thank you" or "thank you for what I do have", then maybe your life and situations will improve. Remember, life is not what it seems (or how society labels it as), it is what you make it. You create your situations, no one else does. God created you; he made you who you are for a reason therefore it is up to you to live your life according to His plan. He didn't plan for you to have bad experiences or to not have a good job. He presented those experiences so that you could take them, learn from them, and move on. It is up to you to deal with it as you please and it is how you deal with it that determines your circumstance. So instead of filling up your head with thoughts of lack of...fill it with thoughts of appreciation. Many of you may take this as "well, easier said than done" or "but that's not reality." My response to that attitude would be...your perception is your reality. You create your reality, it doesn't have to be what everyone else believes or how everyone else live their lives. It doesn't have to reflect how "bad" the world is or how the media depicts it to be. You have control of your life, therefore you have control of your views on life. A suggestions: do more laughing and less worrying. Looking forward to very insightful responses and comments. Be blessed, be safe, and always positive.

Hi purposedriven, Thank you for starting this great discussion. You are of course, right on target again. The way to have more is to be thankful for what we already have. There is a purpose in life, and that means everyone. Blessings.

Right indeed! Thanks for responding. As you can see by the lack of responses, not many are interested in such topics...do you think it is because of the impact that "society" has had on them, blocking the sight of their own beliefs? I mean, I often bring this up in discussions with people of my similar mentality, but if I tried to bring it up with others to merely see their reaction...well, it's as if they were saying: "yeah, right...that's not reality." It's sad...so sad. Anyways, blessings always and thanks again.

Hi again purposedriven, It's good to have you back and thanks for the best response. Most people it seems live very shallow lives and have not learned the importance of gratitude. Sometimes it only comes with age and not always then. Blessings.

you are right in here. it is the best really to always be positive in everything. i agree with you that we have to be thankful more than become a whiner and complain about the things that we don't have. after all, we do not have them cause maybe we have not tried hard enough to get these things. w

Thanks for agreeing. And you are right, most of us who complain about not having are simply the ones who have not tried to get what we want. If everyone had a "just do it" attitude, maybe everyone would be happier. Nonetheless, be blessed and always positive. All the best in happiness and health for the New Year and always.
