Hello everyone! Having fond interest with anime, have you ever bought yourself an item that closely resembles something that you find in anime? I mean, we know they'd usually be used at cosplays like the outfits that a certain character wears and what else we could think of.. Since I couldn't afford an item of interest, I decided to make my own, Subjugation Beads. Yup, the one that Inuyasha wears that Kikiyo gave him. Something like that ^_^ I'm now trying to look for other things that I could do. Items that can be found in anime. How about you? You bought anything like that or even made your own? Which item from what anime?

You can't find such items for sale where I'm from, but I don't think I'd go spending money on such things anyway... I'd rather make them myself. I never thought of this before, but it's an interesting subject. I have a friend that made her aunt make a Sailor Mars costume for her when she was little. By the way, Inuyasha is my favorite anime ;)

You can't find items of that sort at your place? No shops that specifically cater to anime patrons? Yeah, if we can't find some, we make them ourselves ^_^ getting creative with material availability as well. Wow, of all the Sailor Warriors, Mars is my fave ^0^ Has the manga ended already? I mean InuYasha? Or is it still on-going?

Yo can't find manga around here either... I've never seen a manga magazine of any kind. They used to air Inuyasha on TV. Now I'm planning to download all the episodes from the Internet, but that's going to be a hard job...

And to think that the manga seems to be still on going, please correct me if I'm wrong, it'll be more difficult I guess even if your have a spare 80 Gig space for the episdoes that you are planning to download.. well, that is if they really animated the whole manga..

It's a little easier to find accessories around here now, but some of the best items I've found were purchased online from fan-owned (thus fan made) shops or auctions. I've collected numerous items from several series. For example, I have the pocket watch that is issued to State Alchemists from Fullmetal Alchemist as well as a necklace with the Flamel symbol on it. I have a necklace with the same artifact that Mimori wears that Ryuuhou made and gave her when his alter powers got out of contrl. That's from s-CRY-ed. I have digivices from Digimon, fan made and store bought ones. I have a fan made digicrest of the Crest of Friendship, also from Digimon. I have Kurosaki Ichigo's Substitute Shinigami badge, I have the Mod Soul dispenser (Chappy!). Ah, and of course the Suna and Konoha ninja sandals I made for Cosplaying (Naruto) and the forehead protectors, as well as Anko's outfit.

If you're having a lot of trouble finding good items you may want to keep an eye on Ebay. Before stores around here began to start selling more anime, and by proxy anime merchandise, I used to haunt the Ebay auctions. That is where I got the majority of my doujinshi collection, for example. And a lot of the fan-made items were purchased off of Ebay too.

I see.. its just that it isn't as convenient as it would be in my situation. I would usually deal with C.O.D.s but most often, they want transaction either electronically or through bank deposits which I ain't sure of at the moment. ^_^;

Wow, your lucky to comeby with availability of such items at your place. Most of the items that get available here are dependent on the recent anime as well as the most in demand by the buyers. That's why its so hard to get items like shades of Vash Stampede for example.

I have made a necklace to match one in one of my favorite anime. In Fushigi Yuugi there is a beautiful necklace that Miaka wears and I made one to look just like it. I normally wear it with the cosplay that I made, but I also like to wear it with a nice brown shirt or something. I need to make the crown again though a hotel broke the one I made.

Thanks for posting, soulist! A good thing about being able to make our own items would be being aware that we can do another one if we want to. (^_^ ) We just have to again gather the materials that we have used in making the same item. Another good thing about re-making things would be getting proficient in making it. Knowing what we did and what to avoid is the advantage so we get to do things easily due to previous attempts before hand. Experience in a way of putting it. Also, as we try and try to make things, we also upgrade. We either find new materials to use or new ways on how to make the items. This is a good thing about creativity, you end up discovering new things even when you are trying to do the same thing (^_^ )

Usagi and Luna - anime pets
hi ratyz5! ^__^ that's really creative of you to make your own anime stuffs. i hope i was that creative.:p ever since i became an anime fan, i wanted a lot of stuffs of some anime characters, from clothes to accessories. and not only stuffs but also their pets too! LOL but there aren't really "real" anime stores here in our town and i would have to go to the city to search for some good anime stuffs. but then, the anime stores in the city is also kinda limited, usually they only sell the usual stuffs like cds/dvds, manga, stickers, posters, wall scrolls, not exactly what we are looking for. but lately they've been selling some anime character stuffs like uniforms, wrist bands and school cap from Prince of Tennis, and head protector from Naruto. but they are so expensive so i can't really buy one. ^__^;; it would have been cool if i can make stuffs on my own and then maybe do some cosplays but i'm not really that creative. ^__^;;

There are a lot of self-help books or even ebooks available! A little motivation is all you need when your resources are really little and there comes your creativity ^_^ I also want to do cosplays but I really don't know a good character to portray.. ^_^

Hi,ratyz5! Personally,I find the anime or manga on sports are easily for fans.Such as Prince of Tennis,the brands in the anime are common to see in real life.For example,Echizan's FILA shoes and hat,we can buy them in FILA outlets.And in Slum Dunk,the basketball players' shoes are always Nike or Addidas.Moreover,the price of sports accessories are affordable for we common fans.

I see, sports themed animes are easily available when it comes to accessories. Hmmm, I guess popularity makes it available as well. Some animes aren't really that well looked at so some merchendise aren't available at some shops. Once, I found Kurapika's (Hunter-X-Hunter) chains but now, they aren't available anymore. Thanks for the post, shinjiao!
