I would like to be the giver since if you are the giver, that means you are living a good life and can afford to give things to others. Only those who have something can give that something to those who does not have. Therefore, clearly, I want to be the giver and not the receiver. Cheers!

Hi shakeroo, I agree with what you say. A giver is someone who can afford.

Honestly, I'm more of a giver. Most of the friends I have are in the lower level of society, they cannot eat if they won't work for a day. As for me, I am the one that has more blessings than them. So I make sure that whenever I have more than what I wanted, I'd share some to them and maybe give everything to them.

I love giving things to people and making other people happy. It doesn't necessarily have to be a material item or something that would cost you money. Even if it just involves spending time with them, or helping them through a difficult problem in life, it is always very rewarding to have made a difference in someone else's life and know you have played a role in changing things for the better. Of course, when you give you are more likely to receive when people see how gracious you have been in the past (of course that is not why I would rather be the giver... it just shows how you touch other people). So I have to say as much as I love being given things I want and so on, I truly love the feeling of having given to others much more.

I am a giver, and I love to give, if you give me something, there is something in me that want to give you something more. I believe is is more blessed to give than to recieve.

I prefer to be the giver as well. I love to share and it always feels good to be able to help someone. Doesn't mean I have more, I'm just delighted at being able to help and give and make people smile. But yes, it sure feels better to be at the giving end rather than the opposite.

I do love to receive, but I love giving more. I believe that when you give something to someone, whether it is time, help or anything, it will come back to you. Also, when I give something to others, it gives me a feeling of elation and makes me feel happy. I do believe that when you make others happy, their smile and their appreciation also makes you happy.

Generally, I would rather choose to be the giver than the receiver. I think it's pride on my part. But it feels good when you make someone happy because they receive something for you. And true giving is not to expect anything in return, our being a giver is vanity.
