MY hubby and I have decided to start looking for a new home. We rent our house here and are not completely happy with it. We have been here for 5 years and we just got a rent increase...which is understandable BUT we want to pay more rent for a better home...Maybe one we can start owning someday. We won't be moving until July but We are going to start looking around now and taking our time. We would like a large 3 bedroom with a large yard and a base ment...not too much to ask for i think. When was the last time you all moved? Ours was 5 years ago. I don't mind moving so much I like a bit of change once and a while!! Wish us luck in looking for a new place...

I always loved to move into a new home! It's exciting! I loved to pack, unpack and I loved to get my new room in order. The day I move out of my parents house will be both thrilling and scary, but I know I'll end up happy! =) Good luck! I hope you find a place! *Are you looking in the same area or are you thinking about moving to a different state?

A three-bedroomed house with a large yard and basement is a pretty normal, and reachable goal. If you have a family, it's a good move, and if not, your reasons for moving are still very valid, in that you might be thinking of starting one, or even receiving guests for weekends and such. Either way, I'm sure it will be a move for the better and wish you all the luck in the World in finding the property you want. Brightest Blessings.

You're quite welcome and yes, I like looking around for a new home too, but I think I've made my final move unless I get my Romany Caravan, which is my life dream! :)

Good luck in finding your new home. Personally I don't believe in renting unless it's completely short term. By paying rent you're just making someone else rich. If you could save enough money towards a deposit and afford a place of your own just think how much happier you'd be. I know I might be stating the obvious but just think if you'd made those rent payments towards your own mortgage for the last 5 years instead of to some greedy landlord who's just hiked the rent price up again? If you can find a place you want to settle down in forever (or for a good few years) at least you have the change of the property prices going up so if and when you want to move on you can make a profit when selling and have a bigger deposit to put on the next place :) I hope you find something you're both happy with soon :) x

Trust me we have thought about it but we need about 5000 dollars for a depoist and with a family of five it is near impossible to save that kind of money with birthdays and holidays and everything else you have to pay for today. We are working on establishing more credit to help lower our down payment but these things take time!!!!So until we can do the buying thing it is renting for us!!!

The last time I moved was over 12 years ago when I went from living in an apartment with my husband to the house we live in now. Like you, we also rent, but fortunately for us our rent hasn't increased since the day we moved in. It probably helps that we are friends of the family that we rent from. Good luck in finding your future home. :)

Wow 12 years. I would love to stay here, well in the neighborhood so my kids don't have to change schools and everything but it just doesn't look good to stay here! This house is just too small it is a three bedroom but there is no basement and only one bathroom....You can see why we have to move!!!% people fighting over one bath...not fun sometimes!

We too are looking to move. We rent our house and have been in for about 4 or 5 years now. The house is old and falling apart. The landlady doesn't want to help fix it up. So we want to move to something thats going to last with three kids. We are looking for a 3 bedroom and a nice yard as well. Good luck to you. I hope we both can find something good soon.

OUr place is old as well and the landlord is a good landlord but he can be cheap, he would rather fix something with something that will only last a little while than buying something brand new and replacing it, So it is just time for us to try to find a nicer newer place!!

For most of my young adult life, I did a lot of moving; to the point where I hated the idea of having to move. Now we've been in this place for almost five years, but we are ready to move. We have been looking at houses for the last two months. As exciting as it is, it can also be very stressful. A lot of that has to do with looking at all these houses and realizing that none of these are what we are looking for. We have been renting for so long and just throwing money down the drain. That's what happens when you ruin your credit, but this time we are buying with a little help from some very dear family members. Also, we will be moving away from everything that both my husband and I have always known. I've lived in this same county since I was 2 years old and I'm 35 now. Population has exploded here and I want more of a country feel. I can sympathize with you, mag, about the bathroom. I only have 2 children, but they fight over the only bathroom we have as well. I wish you all the luck in the world in finding what you are looking for at an affordable price!!

Thank you so much for your response. I know looking can be very stressful but we do have lots of time and I'm not even going to start to look until april. But we will have to find a place by then for sure.

Good luck. We bought our current home about 3 years ago. Before that we lived on an Army Post. I hope you find the right place for you and your family. :)

Well good luck finding a home! I have moved so many times I cant remember how many. The very last time I moved was in September. We moved from a trailer to a house. I have a HOUSE!! I have a 3 beedroom, 1 bath, basement, full attic, garage, the whole 9 yards! Its a nice house for 550 a month. I was paying about that for a trailer! I really think we are going to stay here for a few years. Its close to my boys schools, my husbands work, shopping, and dining. I work from home doing daycare and the parents work in town. Its very convienent for everyone. I havent had this much room in a long time! I need to buy more things to fill it all up!! Again Good luck finding a new home.

My hubby and I will be moving next week to our new home.It has been more than five years since we stayed in our present residence.Although our present place is our own, the idea of moving to our new home is mainly foe convenience. The location is in the main city which means, accessibility to transport, malls, restaurant, schools and hospital is better.Although it is a smaller place from the place we are now, I also love the thought that our kithchen is bigger than the usual. The best part is, I get to have our place rented soon after we moved, thus added income. Goodluck mag for looking for a new home.I am pretty sure there will always be a place that suits you and your family.Rather than renting, I think it is high time to own your home so that moving in is not an issue. As you are home, no need for you to move from one place to another again!!!

I wish you lots of luck in looking and finding a new place, im sure you will find what you are looking for. The last time we moved was in July 2005, we too were in rented accomodation, but were fortunate enough (through very sad circumstances), to inherit some money to enable us to buy our own place. We were originally after a 3 bedroomed house with a garden large enough for 4 children to play in, but when we were looking we were offered to look at a 4 bedroomed house for a lot less money than what we would have paid on a 3 and we just fell in love with it, and the garden was fantastic just what we wanted for our kids to play in so we bought it. It needs some work doing on it but not a massive amount and we are slowly getting it how we want it.

How good for you. We don't have anything like that that will help us out but we are ok with renting for a few more years we are still young, trying to get our lives more secure.
