Do You Think Changing Your Life Can Be Compared To Building A House?

How To Build A New Life "Our life is what our thoughts make it. A man will find that as he alters his thoughts toward things and other people, things and other people will alter towards him." —James Allen It really sounds too easy to be true, doesn't it? When we are told we can change our lives by changing our minds, most of us are usually a bit skeptical. Oh, we may try it out, change our thought patterns for a bit just to see if the idea has any credence at all, but then later when we look around and see that pretty much everything is as it was, we shrug our shoulders with that familiar "just what I expected" air and move on. We do not see the changes made on the molecular level, however. Nor do we notice the way every single cell in our bodies responds to the change of thought. We remain unaware of how the universe responds by clearing paths and setting up meetings and re-arranging circumstances. We see none of this and so deem our bodies and our minds powerless to change and then return at once to the exact same thought patterns that brought us to and keep us bound in the place we do not want to be. And when we do, every cell in our body returns to that state it was in before, and every cleared path becomes once more cluttered, and every meeting canceled and every circumstance unarranged. Changing our lives is a great deal like building a house. It is not done by hammering one nail in a board but by repeated application. Over and over we must let our minds center on the life we would live instead of on the one being lived. And just as applying hammer to wood repeatedly can eventually lead to the completed frame of a new house, so can steadfast application of one thought to another lead to the completed frame of a new life. May you always persist in bringing the life you want into realization.

I am very ill right now, so I cannot give a long response but I do believe building your life is like building a house, you need a strong foundation or every thing crumples down around you, house or heart and soul. you need to make sure all the pieces or put together carefully if not a loose screw will cause a board in your house to fall and a lose end in your life can make it come crashing down

change, as all things, is relative. if you want to change a small part of your live, it can be hard, but if you want to change an unimportant part of your live, its not always hard. however, i do think that certain changes in your live can be compared to not only building a house, but also cutting out the bricks.

comparing changing your life to building a house? let's see... you've got to have a good foundation to start with, you'll want to have plenty of openings to let the sunshine in, paint everything in warm bright colors, and very important, be careful or you might get hurt. next time i'll talk about building a house.
