So me and my friends are planning on making up or own website to sell out crafty things we make. Does anyone have any pointers for us to make sure we don't get scammed. How do u suggest we get payment? Do you have any really good website builder that we should use. We don't know allot about making a site so this will all be new to us.

With regards to payment, you might want to look into implementing a policy which says that you have to pay before your item gets shipped out kind of thing. That's the norm now and it should protect you from being scammed. You might also want to look into getting paid via Paypal and such, though I'm not sure if they have adequate seller protection. Sorry I can't help you with regards to making your own site though. Good luck with your business!

Good luck! I'd also recommend getting a lawyer or at least someone in law school to help you guys draft out a seller's protection agreement to put on your site. Basically this will tell your buyers that you're serious about the business and what liabilities you will cover and so forth.

Hey Anne, I would be willing to help you set up a site for free. I'm really serious too because I'm a relatively new webmaster and I would like to get some more hands-on experience. You can send me a PM if you want.
