Why I'm up in the middle of the night

I heard my dog, Cujo, shaking his collar, that means he's up pacing & wanting to go out. So, I climb outta bed and put him out. Well, I'm mobbed by cats, it seems we've been bad mommies again & the water bowl was dry... So, I fill it up, then I make sure there's some other water around since several of the cats won't let anyone drink out of the water bowl while they do, even if more than one head can fit in at the same time. THEN I had to go to the bathroom.... That was an hour ago, I'm begining to feel tired again... Probably I could get back to sleep soon.

I do the same thing sometimes when I get up to go pee. I end up giving the cat some tuna, playing with the pc and then heading back to bed. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

If I gave my cats tuna, I'd have the whole house awake with the howling! I just make sure that they have their kibbles, but I generally end up going in & messing with the computer a bit...

Yes issn`t that something when you are awaken by the smallest thing and no matter what you do , you can`t get back to sleep ... YThat happens to me all the time and I don`t sleep good as it alot of nights I don`t sleep at all , not that I don`t try but I can`t get there ... Sometimes for a couple days at a time , I even tried sleeping pills and thatdidn`t work so I just get up and stay up until I fall asleep , and then I have to get up to use the bathroom and the cycle starts all over , it cann be so aggrevating ... But what do you do about it can`t complain , cause noone wants to listen at that time of night ...

LOL. Those kitties were thirsty. I have been up since yesterday because I work nights online. I have been on here for 8 hours so far and have 4 more to go before I van sign off of here. I won't get to bed until another 3-4 hours after that because I have to cook for my huband and I when he gets home from work. Always something to do. I am very tired. We both are wrking 7 days a week. He works 8 hours a night and I might as well say I am working for 16 hours before I can get to bed. I was up 24 hours the other day because I also had to go file taxes and go to the grocery too. Very tiresome.

Abagail wakes me up in the middle of the night to be fed. She thinks she has to have food in front of her at all times. It is ok by me except she is 17lbs and on a low fat cat food. The vet told me to put her on a diet. That is fine but she goes out to eat at the neighbors. When Abagail wakes me up I cannot go back to sleep I have been up since 4am and it is 10pm now. I will go to bed about 11:30 by the time I finally fall asleep. I bet you it will be 4am when she wakes me up again. Oh well I will sooner or later fall asleep.

We try to leave food down for them, but the roomie, who is back in that area of the kitchen more, doesn't seem to understand that the bowl should be FULL at bedtime, so they won't get all aggitated if it runs out....

The dog doesn't get me up as early as that, but he's as good as an alarm clock. I don't know why a dog standing there looking at me wakes me up, but it does haha. Now that we're in an apartment instead of a house, I have to traipse outside with the darn dog. He's the walk a mile before I poo guy. Obviously, after my adventure, I'm up for the day. Later on, not as soon as you probably would, I get tired and sure wish for a little nap. How many kitties do you have? Whit

I'm allergic, but I went to an allergist who didn't believe in telling people to get rid of their pets, so he gave shots to everyone rather than just to people that worked with animals like most allergists.

Cute. OUr cat is a total PITA. He almost ALWAYS refuses to drink from a water bowl. If the dog so much as looks at it the wrong way he'll have nothing to do with it. Instead he'll go drink from the toilet. And fall in on occasions, and get mad at the world, like it;s our fault.

Our cats can't be that fussy... Because we keep the bathrooms closed. They really want to drink out of the sink, putting the water on a tiny 'string' of water. They will sometimes fall in trying to GET to the sink, but seem to understand that its their own fault.

Ahhh, children! Even the four-footed kind can give you those sleepless nights from time to time. Glass of warm milk won't do it, eh? Perhaps with a shot of Harvey's Bristol Cream in it... does wonders for me!

I got back to bed about 3, but it was still another hour before I got back to sleep! And when I did, man I didn't want to wake up! There again, the cats are no help, laying on top of me, pinning me down to the bed!

Got to love the animals keeping you up half the night. Still, could be the screaming kids, oh wait, that's me!
