Do You Worry And Let It Take Away The Joy Of Today?

Worry Wart "Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow. It only saps today of its joy." —Leo Buscaglia, American writer Worry has never healed a body, solved a problem, brought a love back, or created a problem-free future. And no one, at the end of life, has ever said they wished they'd worried more. On a day like today, so filled with possibilities, there are an infinite number of things we can do to make our lives better. Worry is not one of them. May you always be willing to let your worries go

I like the words very much"Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow. It only saps today of its joy." How correct it is. I used to worry to much about some wrong things I did, especially when I was along at night. Those stupid things came into mind and I couldn't go to sleep. Now, I am learning to let something go.Past is past. Today is new.

Past is gone and there is nothing you can do about it. I like the way my Mom said it. She said that each day is like a blackboard wiped clean. You have a clean board every single day of your life to start the day with. She said so forget about the days past because they are gone and past forever. Begin the day with the awareness that you have a new day to start with. I have lived my life by those words she said.

Hi sunshinelady, You are perfectly right in what you say. I think most people know it, but we all need to be reminded once in a while. Thank you.

I try not to worry but the tricky thing about worry is that even if you think you mastered it mentally, it can still represent itself in physical attributes like lack of appetite or feeling hungry all the time, sleep issues, too much or too little, nightmares etc, physical pain, headaches, stomach aches, bathroom issues, and so much more

Leo Buscaglia is my favorite writer. I have to agree with him. We can not do anything good with worry. We have to take care of today. I am normal human, so I have few worries that I am working on to go away...

If you are worrying it takes away from the time you could be using to find a solution to whatever the problem is. Worrying is a wasted emotion.

Yes. I worry myself sick at times. I am the only one in my household that makes sure everything gets done or accomplished or makes the big plans for the future. I try to work in a little joy of the day but it is so hard sometimes because I stay wore out.

Well, I do worry. Taking the responsibility for finances, schedules, etc. give the worry along with it. Your post is spot on though. Something to strive for...Whit
