I have a 4 1/2 month old daughter that is teething. We have tried everything from the dissovling pills , to wash rags that she can hold in her mouth. To baby oralgel.. Nothing has worked! We ca rubb her gums with our fingers. She hates a teething toy.. She also dont like anything cold to her gums... She is completely differant from any other 4 1/2 month old. she can aready sit up on her own and she loves to stand up on her feet. But she hates to lay on her stomach..lol..Well anyway advice or anything about teething ........

The only real advice I can give you is to just wait until it is over. Every baby is so different, if she sits up already, you could give her a sippy cup, both of my girls chewed on those when they were teething . . . good luck, I hate teething :)

Hiya. I have a 17.5 weeks old and I reckon hes teething too :-( Hes had the colic and the screaming and hes now just plain grumpy so I am hoping it is teething in a way - at least that would explain his mood! With my daughter she really took to a herbal powder remedy we were advised about. Unfortunately I dont remeber the name off the top of my head - but it was a powder that came in sachets and you could let it dissolve in the mouth and it seemed to work. Mind you, to be fair, nothing ever worked better than good old Calpol for her.
