It is really so frustrating. I logged on to Helium.com one morning and found out that it stated one article less than what I had written. So i checked my account in detail and discovered one whole article title was shown as deleted and along with it obviously my article too. Anybody else went through this? Why does this happen and how can an article title be deleted just like that ? There were more than 100 articles written under that title so its very surprising.

I think it really depends on the circumstances. helium have changed their guidelines over time and if the article was an old one that didnt meet standards that would explain it but if it was a thread as you say with many articles, finding the explanation would be easy by contacting content@helium.com as I am sure there is a logical explanation. You will always have a copy of that article in the MY ARTICLE section of the site even though it is deleted.

Sorry I only just read your answer. If a title is outdated and many are, how about using your article and looking at it from a fresh point of view, submitting it as a one off in a new updated category. That would work.

Hi! I suggest you contact Helium staff and find out why this happened. It's frustrating to work on something then lose it. Helium staff will be glad to look in to it. Don't be discouraged.

I did and I got a reply within a few hours which says they have decided to delete some previous year's titles which looked outdated. It was a standard auto reply I think and I am not happy with it at all. The title came up in August last year, so it hasn't been like a whole year or something.

Hi Serenidity, I understand your frustration, but deletiion of articles and titles on Helium does occur from time to time. The first time it happened to me was quite shocking. I wrote to Helium Help and was told Helium does a shake-up of titles from time-to-time, and will delete articles accordingly. Helium is within its rights to do so, so be sure to always write your articles in a word program on your computer, and save them to your My Documents file. That way you can always post your writing elsewhere. Or you can rewrite, look for an appropriate title on Helium, and post your article again. After a rewrite, though. As a Helium Channel Steward, I want to encourage you to give it another go. There are so many titles to write under that you are sure to find a way to replace your deleted article, with an even better article. My About Me page is listed below if I can be of further help to you on Helium. http://www.helium.com/user/edit_show93811. But don't despair; it's happened to most of us. Just keep writing, and saving your work. Deletion of articles and titles is not a common occurrence. Hadassah28
