What methods you use to drive traffic to your blog !

Now what are the methods(other than giving you link directly)you all use to drive traffic to your blog.Making a blog is one thing and bringing traffic to your blog is the other part which I think is very important one though .So please share your methods for bringing traffic to your blog here .

You just need to post regularly with good content to attract visitors...Tag the keywords and also promote your blog on blog directories... Also do leave comments on other people's blogs of the same genre/interest as well as do link exchange with them

I have heard a lot about link exchange but have not find a suitable way to do this . If you do link exchange , does this give a bad impression to the search engine as this is not a one way link and sometimes this might even lower ones reputation.But this is only my opinion.What do you have to say about this ?

You can also see traffic from listing in free classifieds. Classifiedsforfree.com will allow you to post to multiple states, add your web page or blog, even a picture, and will show you how many hits you get.

my friends links me up, I use entrecards too, submitted my site to search engines, and I have my website address in signature line when post of forums.. this helps. but most of all, write good articles, this will give you regular visitors.

A lot of other people have also suggested me to write good articles and then submit them to article directories .This will attract some nice traffic but I do not know where to begin such activity.Perhaps someone who have experience in article submission can offer some assistance :)

one thing which everyone do is submitting the link to various directories but these directories i dont think respond quickly as possible they only look forward those links which paid them. another way is to introduce your blog thorugh your friends circle, various forums, chat rooms etc.
