I have flown over the Great Pyramids of Egypt and the white sails of Sydney's opera house. Wow! Which are the best views that you have enjoyed? Have you ever climbed a mountain? If so what was the view like? Do you like views of the coastline line. If so what sort of scenery have you seen?

I'd like to visit Egypt so much.... and I love Ancient Egyptian culture very much. Till now I travelled only in Europe (and only one time I went out of Europe, when I went to New York). My favourite town is Paris (France), and the place I liked more is the Louvre, my favourite museum.

The Ancient Egyptian religion fascinates me very very much. I love Egyptian Mythology, I love wonderful characters as Isis, for istance. How, also you have been in France? I'm Italian, but I love France and French culture really a lot!

Yes, Egyptian culture is fascinating. I loved seeing the pyramids from the air. It would be lovely to see them from the ground one day. I hope that you will go to Egypt one day. France is very popular for tourists. I have been to Paris a few times.

I've travelled a lot and seen some terrific views but one that always entrances me is actually one from an airplane window. Wehave a holiday home in Slovenia and we fly there once every three months - the fligth from the Uk goes over the Alps and the view never stops amazing me. Snowy jagged peaks, little villages nestling in the valleys and here and there a jade green mountain lake. Wonderful!

Yes, when a plane is low in the sky it is possible to see lovely scenery instead if clouds. I think snowy mountain scenery is gorgeous and the little villages add to the scenic view. I remember going to Salzburg and going to Eagles Nest, high in the mountains. The view of a blue lake in the green mountains is something I fondly remember. It must be fantastic to go to your holiday home in Slovenia so often. I have been to Lake Bled and on a sunny day it looks gorgeous.

I know it sounds simple and plain but for me the view was wonderful, when I went to the Lake District, I climbed one of the fells and looked all around and breathed in the fresh air, the amazing views and the breathtaking scenery, it was a wonderful experience, I felt so at peace, at one with nature and it was a sight for sore eyes. Another scene was Scotland, there is so much to see and appreciate up there, from the heather growing on the landscape to the magnificent lochs. But what I ached to see and didn't was the dolphins. I would love to see dolphins in their natural habitat the ocean. I love coastlines the best but you have to marvel at the scenery that both Scotland and England have to offer.

Yes, in sunny weather the Lake District does look really beautiful. I have not yet enjoyed the rural beauty of Scotland. It is only in the last few years that I have not rushed overseas but afford some time to explore the UK. I love to see coastlines and do cliff walks my friend wolfie. I have seen dolphins in New Zealand in the bay of Islands and in Australia in Monkey Mia. I hope you see wild dolphins one day.

Interesting question... I have travelled much in my day but not much by AIR. I would have to say the lava flowing into the water in Hawai'i (which I also saw [and heard] by boat). Other than that there isn't much that comes to mind. Great post. Zelo

Lava flowing into water in Hawaii sounds impressive to me. I walked on lava fields in Samoa. It was fun to watch a young local boy throw a coconut into a blow hole and water shot up high into the sky. That was memorable.

There are many wonderful senic views around the world. One I'll never forget is flying over The Great Barrier Reef in a helicopter back in the seventies.

The Great Barrier Reef is amazing sight that I will never forget. Even though this happened in the 70s I notice you still remember seeing this. I flow over the Maldives and seeing the islands and reef was incredibly special.

According to me one of the best view that i have come across is, i had gone for this KENIYAN Safari in Nairobi, Where we saw three wild LION'S behind the bush with the help of the rangers (as they helped us to find them). Believe me, i had never been so thrilled before. They must be about 150 metres away from us. It was such a spectacular and a colossal view can describe in words. I can never forget it ever in my life.

You capture the excitement of this experience well. Yes, seeing lions so close is thrilling. I saw two lions by a bush on my safari in Kenya and a leopard sleeping in a tree. These are magical memories.

The most beautiful sites I have ever seen is the Rocky Mountains. I used to live only an hour from them and I used to go for a drive quite often just to be in them and enjoy the scenery, especially the wild animals like the mountain sheep and mountain goats and the moose. They would go right into peoples cabin yards and feed off their grass. I used to drive down the old number 1 highway which now goes through Banff Park and watch all the animals. Boy I sure do miss those days, I'm talking about only 2 years ago, since we moved farther east and now I am about 20 hours away from them.

I have seen some very wonderful scenery in the different parts of the world:- 1) In Malta the blue waters at BLUE GROTTO. 2) In Italy, COSTA AMALFITANA, the Amalfi Coast. The islands of Capri and Anna Capri. 3) In LONDON , the streets where the theatres are. 4) In Vancouver, The Harbour from the Gardens above. 5) In Sydney, The Harbour on Boxing Day when the yachts leave on the Hobart race. 6) In Melbourne, on Melbourne Cup Day, the crowds, the excitement, the race itself. 7) In Paris, the nighttime markets. 8) In Singapore, Newton centre at night with all the food places. 9) In Hong Kong, the ferry movements at night. 10) In Moscow, the beauty of Underground Railway Stations. 11) In Rome, entering St.Peter's Basilica. 12) In Beijing, walkins Tiamin Square at one in the morning and the wide roads leading to the square. Many, many more to mention .
